About Chris

I'm originally from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and have lived in North Wales for about 30 years. I was in the Royal Navy, and instructed in their outdoor activity centre for many years. I still have a keen interest in all adventure sports and have a small sailboat in Holyhead.

Debbie, my wife, is a local. She speaks Welsh and works on Anglesey.

Chris purchased this house in 1999

Why Chris chose Tregarth

We bought this property to satisfy our desire to complete a house renovation. Bryn Hyfryd has been our family home and enjoys both mountain and sea views. The property is in a quiet village but is only a few minutes away from Bangor and the A55.

What makes this house unique

Bangor is the perfect base for exploring North Wales. Its why we live here. You have easy access to historic castles, stately homes, tourist towns and beaches. If its adventure, or peace and quiet you want, then why travel further.

A lovely cottage in a peaceful location

  • 4 of 5

The property was clean and well equipped with essentials. It was suitable for a large family having four bedrooms (sleeping 7) and two bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs. The cottage was very well located for exploring North Wales with short drives to mountains and the coast. We did have a slight issue with the heating on arrival, as the heating controls were not accessible; but the owners were local and promptly arrived to assist. There is plenty of car parking at the property but be aware the access road is very narrow. I personally enjoyed early evenings in the garden room, when you could watch the sun-setting over the horizon.

Lovely cottage, with fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cottage, well equipped and clean/well presented.

The views were fantastic and in the warmer months could be enjoyed from the patio area.

All amenities just a short drive away.
