Overview

Photos and Description of this 5 bedroom holiday home in Hanley Swan - Tickeridge Farm

Beautiful 5 bedroom country cottage set in grounds of 5 acres. Sleeps 9+1

A beautiful 5 bedroom English country cottage - ideally suited for getting together with family, friends and colleagues .

Its setting is perfect and wonderfully private – sitting in a large fenced garden with rolling lawns and views towards the Malvern Hills and surrounded by 5 acres of fields where you’ll find horses grazing. It lies outside the quintessentially English village of Hanley Swan with its village green, lily-covered duck pond and a very welcoming pub with an open fire. During the restoration of this 16th century house, great care was taken to preserve its original elements whilst incorporating all mod cons.

Massive 30ft kitchen with range cooker, granite worktops, breakfast area, table to seat 10+ with french windows onto the terrace, gas BBQ, outdoor dining and croquet lawn.

Large oak beamed living room with comfy sofas and fireplaces at each end and a TV/games/reading area with a Smart TV- iPlayer, Netflix.

Downstairs cloakroom and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer

Upstairs two bathrooms - with baths, walk in showers and heated towel racks and five comfortable bedrooms: two double bedrooms with kingsize beds, one single bedroom with a double bed and two bedrooms with adult sized bunk beds.

As you would expect duvets with cotton bed linen and towels are provided; electricity and oil central heating is included as is an initial very large basket of logs to feed the fires. There are a number of TV/DVD/CD players, a Klipsch iPod sound dock and WiFi. In the well equipped kitchen there is a range cooker as well as a microwave, dishwasher and a fridge/freezer

An extra fold-up bed (for +1 child); a travel cot and high chair are available.

How fortunate we all were to be able to Christmas here.

A complete success - thank you.

We loved the cosy fires.

Fantastic long weekend stay

  • 5 of 5

Tickeridge Farm met all our expectations and then some! The previous reviews did not do it justice! We hired the farm for a weekend surprise birthday celebration for my husband, and everyone had such a fantastic time. The house was extremely clean and outdoor area well maintained. The little touches like wine in the fridge were much appreciated. Dugald was incredibly helpful and flexible with our big party, and really made our weekend special. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tickeridge Farm nor to stay again! Thank you so much.

Lovely, well furnished property within reach of many interesting places

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this farmhouse to relax after the marriage of my youngest daughter. We were five adults and three children. The advice we received from the owner and caretaker before we arrived was helpful and there are detailed instructions in a booklet in the property. The kitchen is large and well provided and the bedrooms comfortable and relatively spacious. The gardens are pleasant and there is a BBQ. Unfortunately the weather was not brilliant during our stay so we could not take full advantage of this. We visited several local places including the Cadbury's chocolate factory at Bournville, Evesham, Malvern, Monmouth and Berkeley Castle. We would highly recommend the latter because of its interesting building, beautiful gardens and lots of activities for children.

We would strongly recommend Tickeridge Farm for a comfortable and relaxing state in one of the most beautiful parts of England

Lovely property in a perfect situation.

  • 4 of 5

With easy access to amenities and fun for all the family we found the property gave excellent space for young children to play and for the adults to find a quiet space when needed.

Perfect retreat and beautiful surroundings!

  • 5 of 5

Trickeridge Farm was a perfect long weekend stay for me and my family.

We were celebrating my parents both turning 70 this year and so there were 6 adults and 3 little ones.

We have the most amazing weekend with beautiful surroundings.

Dugald the owner even called us on the Saturday to make sure all was OK and we were happy, which I thought was a lovely touch.

We couldn't have asked for more and we plan to visit again next year.

I would highly reccommend!!!

Simone

Superbly located cottage

  • 5 of 5

We booked 6 of us for a hen weekend (older ladies!). It was perfect. Beautiful, relaxing, fabulous well equipped kitchen, patio & croquet lawn. All we wanted and more. The youngest two took the bunk rooms which helped! Owners and caretaker most accommodation and helpful. Beds very comfy and duck duvets! High standard throughout. Loved it :-)

Mrs A Trott (party of 6)

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to say that we had a wonderful stay and the place was home from home. All the amenities were there, and the Kitchen was really the hub of the house. The garden was beautiful, and as the weather was lovely too, we sat quite happily, drinking wine and chatting. We would love to come back again. The central part of the house, just needs a little re-configuring, for a larger party to be able to all sit together in the evening, but the Kitchen was great for that anyway. We decided after the day exploring, that we were quite content to have a takeaway and stay in for the Saturday evening, which was perfect.

Thank you, and we really look forward to returning!
