Our family is from the United States, and has travelled the world. We purchased LeTreCase 25 years ago and have enjoyed coming to know Tuscany and the surrounding provinces immensely. We have never stopped being energized and enchanted by its physical green beauty, its terraced vertical dimension, and its 16th century agricultural heritage. We want you to experience all we have grown to love as you come for a visit of a week or more and hope you will allow us to help you plan a stay that exceeds all of our expectations.
James purchased this Chateau / Country House in 1992

Amazing home and people!
Stayed for a week in this lovely home and area. Cannot say enough about how positive the experience was from start to finish. The whole team treated us like family and made sure everything went smoothly. Definitely recommend a stay at Le Tre Case!
Our trip to Le Tre Case was just amazing. You park your car, walk around a hedge and have your breath taken away by the view of Tuscan hills. The house, house manager and housekeeper were all spectacular. We came with family and friends to get away and could not have asked for more. Thank you for sharing your home!
A lovely place with plenty of space and amenities. The grounds are beautiful with a lovely pool.
We stayed at Le Tre Case the first week of August, 2018. The location of the villa is ideal for exploring nearby Lucca. The tight roads leading up to the villa was tough to navigate as first but we soon got used to it. It is about 20 minutes from Lucca, 45 minutes from Pisa, and 90 minutes from Florence. We flew into the Pisa airport. We were met by the manager and the housekeeper upon arrival. We had asked the housekeeper to make dinner for us on our arrival night. It was a lovely meal after a long day of travel! The manager Cristina and housekeeper Simonetta were both extremely friendly and helpful. Cristina helped us set up our dinner reservations for the week and also made great recommendations for places to eat and visit nearby. There were basic items in the pantry to use. We even made pizza in the outdoor pizza oven one night. The bedrooms were spacious and there were plenty of fans to help keep us cool during a very hot week. The pool was lovely and was used daily. We look forward to returning to this area again soon!
The Perfect Italian getaway
We stayed in this magnificent villa in July 2018 with our family of 10 (including 2 small children). It was magical! The lookout unto the Tuscan mountains from the main seating area outside is a wonderful way to spend the morning, evening or any time of day. The rooms were perfect for our 3 families - enough bathrooms for everyone.
Its a perfect distance to the town of Lucca, one can spend many days there getting lost amoung the windy streets.
The pool area is breathtaking, very relaxing and serene. This place is a true paradise!
Loved the daily cleaning service provided and our contact in Italy was very quick to get back to us regarding anything we needed.
We would go back tomorrow if we could! Thank you for a wonderful family holiday
Authentic house and experience
My family and I had a wonderful time at this house. The family that owns it was very responsive and thoughtful. They have a terrific house manager and cleaning/cooking staff that helped us feel welcome. The location is fantastic and close to a handful of amazing countryside towns. The house is authentic and clearly important to the family. I would highly recommend a stay here.
Feels like you actually LIVE in Tuscany!
A rare property in its determination to preserve the life and lifestyle of the Camaiore with virtually all of the modern conveniences, Le Tre Case offered an exceptional vacation experience. One arrives through roads lined with mature trees that bend toward one another, until a small sign indicates a right turn upward. Through fields & forest, the sound of breezes & a distant suggestion of water make it plain that life is different here: slower, more sensuous. Then, a sharp left & down a small hill. Are we there yet? A small yet wholly adequate parcheggio appears, surrounded by dense green hedges, rose bushes clinging to wooden fences & the scent of air uniquely verdant. Through a small green opening, the beauty of the landscape unfolds in every direction, though in its center, this old stone house, so stoic yet softened by drapes that capture the breeze. The house is simple yet spacious. One enters into a small yet perfectly adequate kitchen, with modern appliances, then through a living room whose door opens to the outside, with a breathtaking view of the mountains that stretch out before it &, down the hill, an in-ground swimming pool with a large umbrella that presides above it. There are 5 bedrooms, all spacious and comfortably accommodating to two people each; 3 bedrooms have en suite baths, while the remaining two share a large bath. Wifi throughout. The house manager greeted us on arrival, providing a tour & area insights, & she was readily (& virtually immediately) available by text for any assistance we might need, including reservations. A housekeeper arrived daily and tended to everything. She is also available to cook, & prepared a feast for us the day we arrived. Our group enjoyed it as we dined outdoors, the evening alight with countless candles. Magical!
Orbicciano is a quiet village with grocer and baker, but Le Tre Case is a 20 minute drive to Lucca, an ancient city with countless shops & diverse dining. Ristorante All-Olivo in Lucca was divine! As good as any restaurant in Rome or New York, with an intimate ambiance created by its family owners. Cinque Terre is an amazing natural destination that has been built just enough to serve its visitors without ruining its essence. And Forte dei Marmi, often referred to as the St. Tropez of Italy, has all the world's luxury brands. We preferred dinner at Pesce Barracca, a feast as fun as it was delicious!
Easy to recommend without reservations!
Welcome to Lucca, go to our small but well stocked library in the house and get a Lucca map and guidebook. Chart your route from our hillside to the walls of Lucca entering by Via Borgo Giannotti to through Porta Santa Maria. At that Piazza you will see a bike rental Polli and there you can get maps and a three speed bike to tour Lucca. Ride up on to the promenade walls and make a full circle around Lucca. Then you are ready to see the interior. Make visits to its outstanding churches, mansion and
museums. I especially recommend Museo Nazionale Di Palazzo Mansi, via Galli Tassi, 43 open Tuesday to Saturday 8:30am to 7:00pm. Lunch is always good at Canuleia, on via Canuleia just west of the Roman Anfiteatro. (0583) 467470. Also Port Ellen Clan, via del Fosso 120, alongside the canal. (0583) 493952 And one of my new favorites is the restaurant inside the new Lu.C.C.A. (Lucca Center of Contemporary Art), via delle Fratta, 36 (0583)491280 Best chocolate gelato is at Santini at the Puccini statue on via San Paolino. Then the best view to discover the facade of the great church of San Michele is by via Poggio as you pass Puccinis birthplace house. Go to Torre Guinigi and walk to the top to see views of the city. Also if you have time Museo Nazionale di Villa Guinigi built in 1413.
Forte Dei Marmi:
On Wednesday is the not-to-be-missed open air market in Forte dei Marmi on the coast about a 30 min ride via the auto way. You should book a table for lunch at bango L' Orsa Maggiore and park your car in their parking lot and walk to the market. It opens at 8am and closes at 12:30. Another place to visit and have a wonderful meal is Pietrasanta, an ancient town in the hills overlooking the sea, not far from Forte. It is the city where Michelanglo stayed when he came to the marble mines of Carrera to select his marble for his great masterpieces. The town has maintained its patronage of artists and is now filled with galleries and exhibitions. The town center is where you begin with sunset drink and then find your way by 8:30 or 9pm to Il Circo where you will dine in elegance and wonderful cooking.(0584) 70436 or cell 348-039628. Address: Piazzetta S. Antonio 28
A favorite restaurant with a vista magnifico is Osteria l'Oliveta in the nearby town of Massarosa.
Florence when we go for the day we love lunch at Borgo San Jacopo ristorante on the same street name #62 (055) 281661 and ask for Amine Sersar who takes great care of us. It is located in the Hotel Lungarno and there is a garage just across the street.
We can also recommend a wonderful guides in Florence.
