This spacious and light, link detached bungalow, on a quiet development on the edge of Rock, North Cornwall, sleeps 3 (+2). It is situated within easy reach of sandy beaches, Camel Sailing & Waterski school, St Enedoc golf course, Padstow Harbour and stunning coastal walks. Modern, well equipped, with a south facing garden backing onto open fields used for grazing cows. A ten minute walk or short drive (0.7m) to a range of local shops including deli, bakery, butchers, chandler, and gift/clothing boutiques. The Rock foot ferry to Padstow gives access to the Camel cycle trail and sea trips, shopping and fine dining or fish & chips. Just over 2 miles from Polzeath for surfing schools and family beach with parking on the sand. Secluded, sunny garden suitable for al fresco meals, safe for children and dogs - relax with a beer from the local Doom Bar brewery. Take a walk to Porthilly and continue to Rock and then Daymer Bay at low tide. In the evening, walk to the Pityme Inn, just 300 metres away for excellent food and local ales. Charter a boat, or take advantage of fishing/speed boat trips, you may also catch sight of dolphins in the estuary.
Sleeps 3 (+2), There is a large double bedroom and a small single bedroom. These are serviced by a spacious and bright shower room. A spacious lounge provides warm and cosy comfortable seating in front of a log burning stove, with 2 seater and 3 seater couches. This opens out into a bright dining area overlooking the patio, garden and open fields beyond the fence. The kitchen sits nicely alongside the lounge and offers all the amenities you need for a relaxing and enjoyable break away.

The bungalow is cleaned thoroughly after each rental period. Bedding (inc duvets, pillows) & linen provided. Please bring own towels.
The bungalow can easily accommodate families. It is also suitable for couples. Whether you like walking, sailing, surfing, shopping, dining out, beaches or river walks, cycling or lazing – the area has something for everyone. A special place where you instantly unwind and get into the slower pace of life. Lower Elms has a home from home feel and is surprisingly spacious. You can choose to leave your car at the house as so much is close-by. Take a ferry to Padstow for shops, restaurants and the Camel cycle trail, walk the coast paths or laze on sandy beaches.
It is not suitable for wheelchairs but it is all on one level.

Surfing lessons at Polzeath, 2 miles, Coastguard patrolled, very shallow for a long way out for children with rock pools, more boutiques and cafes, restaurants

Use of a car not essential, there are ample places and activities to access by foot and a bus runs to the beach at Rock in summer months.
Rock is about 1.7 miles with the Mariners pub, Rock Inn and Blue Tomato cafe. Local shops accessed by foot in 10 minutes, 5 by car, good range including deli, bakery, butchers, local supermarket, fish & chips and boutiques. A little further on is a Post Office & Newsagent and restaurants including Nathan Outlaw. Wadebridge offers more local shops, banks, bike hire, galleries and gift shops plus a cinema. There is a Tesco, CO-Op and Lidl stores, deliveries can be made using Sainsburys and Asda at Bodmin. Cashpoint at Texaco petrol station, 1 mile. Pub nearby.
Visit Port Isaac, 6 miles, of Doc Martin fame, with fish restaurants, pubs, gift shops and galleries.
Boscastle and Tintagel are a short car drive away and are both worth visiting. Tintagel Castle is popular but be prepared for steps.
Deposit of 25% required to reserve chosen week(s), the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to the start of the rental. One dog welcome, £20 per week. If cancelled we will endeavour to re-let the period and if re-let, the deposit will be refunded, cancellation insurance is recommended.
We love the convenience of having everything nearby, strolling to the beach and ferry and accessing all the lovely walks. Once in Cornwall nowhere is that far away and there are gardens and National Trust houses to visit, seal sanctuaries and tourist attractions. The Eden project is well worth a visit too.
