UNIQUE converted Old Primary School. GREAT location for St Ives & West Cornwall

Former Victorian School offers stunning, sympathetically converted, heritage Self-Catering Accommodation. The Cottage sleeps 2/3 and The Apartment sleeps 4/5/6+ . The Cottage accommodation comprises a Kitchen, Lounge, Dining Area, Double Bedroom and lovely Bathroom. It is radiator-heated in both properties. The Apartment (sleeps 4/5/6+) offers spacious, unique living space. At the entrance to the Apartment is a south-facing patio area outside with table and chairs to enable 'al fresco' tranquil dining with views.The Apartment comprises a huge kitchen, lounge, dining area with high ceilings and large, original school windows that bring in light, views of the garden and surrounding area into the living accommodation.There is a double bedroom, a twin gallery bedroom with 2 single beds, and the garden bedroom which has a double sofa bed. The bathroom has both bath and shower and is spacious and light. Large garden. Free WiF

Layout and facilities in The Cottage: The furniture and equipment in the Cottage are as follows:

There is an open-plan Dining Area with dining table and 4 dining chairs.

In the Living Area is a very comfortable sofa which sits 2 people. There is a nest of tables, an Entertainment Unit which houses the flat screen TV with Freeview, a DVD player. Radio and TV can be played on Freeview. Within the Enternainment Unit is stored Things to Do folders, travel timetables, books and DVDS.

The kitchen area is fully equipped, comprising base units and open plan storage, fridge, electric cooker & microwave.

There is 1 bedroom (one extra large 5 feet wide 'Queen Size' bed). Travel Cot: supplied free of charge.

Occasional bed if needed for the 3rd person staying (supplement charged).

Space for Travel Cot in bedroom (we can supply one free of charge).

Luxury tiled bathroom with underfloor heating, a powerful shower and BATH..

Use of large garden with garden furniture, games, relaxing pond and fantastic view

Further information: Arrival Time is 3pm, Depart by 10am on your final day in The Cottage.

Arrival Time is 4pm. Depart by 11am in The Apartment.

The Cottage offers very comfortable and enchanting self-contained accommodation. It sleeps 2/3. Quirky stable front door greets you. Accommodation comprises fully equipped Kitchen,a comfortable Lounge and relaxing Dining Area. Free WiFi. The kitchen window in particular enjoys clear views of St Michael's Mount. There is a Double Bedroom with enough room for a Cot if required: Travel Cot supplied free of charge. The bedroom has a Queen-size bed (5 feet wide) and is very comfortable. A deluxe single occasional bed is available for use in the lounge. There is a luxury bathroom with bath, shower and underfloor heating. The Cottage is heated by radiators. Welcome Pack on arrival; all home comforts including iron and board provided! There is a large, mature garden with Cornish palms, colourful flowers and a relaxing pond. There are plenty of benches outside and in the shed there are loungers, barbeque set and games (badminton & croquet) . Wonderful rural and coast views

Why Stacey and Steve Halfyard chose South West Cornwall

The atmosphere of the area ... Very relaxing and quiet location (nestled between 2 fields, opposite allotments), views of the sea and surrounding countryside. Convenient for A30 which means that everywhere in West Cornwall is on the doorstep ie St Ives, Penzance, Marazions and all the lovely little villages.. Near to so may lovely places! You can see St Michael's Mount from the house and village,

The Welcoming feel feel of the accomodation .. Our previous guests comment that our accomodation is like a 'home from home' because we like to think we have thought of everythng you need during your stay ie Welcome Pack of local paper, bicuits tea, coffee, milk, flowers all kitchen requirements including flowers, washing up liquid, kitchen towels etc. Idyllic...

We welcome couples, singles and families, buisness people. All are welcome, all want to come back.

Fantastic location and very easy to find. Clean, tidy and well maintained with all the bits and pieces you need. You even get a view of St Michaels Mount from the kitchen window. Will definitely be back.

Great cottage in pretty setting

Lovely airy cottage in good location. Very comfortable with everything needed for a week's holiday. Great views of St Michael's Mount and good pub in the village. Plenty of good coastal walks and beaches nearby. St Ives's is well worth a visit particularly if you take the train. The owner was very helpful.

Lovely Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. The owner's were very friendly, provided us information about activities and attractions and helped us when needed. The accommodation was clean and well equipped. We stayed two weeks and during this stay the owner's changed the towels and the bed linen, we never had this nice service before! The accommodation is a good starting point for discovering South West Cornwall, we enjoyed Lands End, St. Michaels Mount and the Lizard. We would recommend this accommodation!

Fantastic cottage with stunning view of St Michaels Mount!

Exceeded our expectations. Big thank you for the supply of tea and coffee throughout our stay and the chocolate biscuits on our arrival -just what we needed after a long drive down!

We would definitely recommend this cottage and will definitely be back - we love Cornwall and now have somewhere lovely to stay too!!

Our APARTMENT & COTTAGE are part of a former school in Ludgvan, which is 5 miles from St Ives, 2 miles from Penzance and 1 mile from Marazion. They are located in an idyllic and peaceful village with granite cottages,a real ale pub with great food and a14th century church. The properties are surrounded by fields and enjoys sea views and far reaching rural views (St Michael's Mount can be seen from the garden). We are half a mile from the A30 which connects to all main roads of West Cornwall. We are near local interesting towns, villages, harbours and beaches.

There is parking for 4 cars and the building is completely self-contained on a half acre site. There is a large well-established, relaxing garden.

Where we live is a perfect base for all West Cornwall beaches and attractions including Carbis Bay, Newlyn, Mousehall, The Minack Theatre, Falmouth & The Eden Project,. Praa Sands, Helston. Lands End and Sennon.

Other Activities: Body surfing, kite surfing, local choirs, St Ives Music Festival, Eden Project

Golf: Lelant is the nearest.

Several other full size golf clubs nearby.

Ski: Dry ski slope in Plymouth.
