Pipe Cottage is a beautifully refurbished former pump house in the heart of 1066 rural Sussex countryside between the villages of Salehurst and Robertsbridge and within easy reach of Battle with its range of eateries and shops and the costal towns of Hastings and Rye. Robertsbridge is just 1 mile from the cottage where you can find a main line train to London and Hastings, public houses selling local beers, wines and food, Judges bakery, Village Stores and Boots pharmacy. The Salehurst Halt is only 15 minute walk from Pipe. Bodiam Castle, Batemans, Battle Abbey and Pashley Manor Gardens are all within easy reach of the property as is the Jerwood gallery in Hastings. For those who enjoy the outdoors there are plenty of footpaths and cyle routes on the doorstep. This is the perfect base for couples, families or friends to sit back and relax.
Pipe Cottage is a single storey property and sleep 4 with one double room and one twin. It has an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable sofa, arm chairs & TV DVD in the lounge.
The cottage is approached via a bridleway which is a bit bumpy but passable, unless you have a low slung vehicle such as a sports car in which case you will struggle. Outside there is parking for several cars and an enclosed garden with BBQ and patio table and chairs. There is a further enclosed paddock of approximately 1 acre that can be used to access the footpaths via a private gate.
Please note: There is a stream close to the property.
