Villa with swimming pool & garden. Ideal to visit Granada & Sierra Nevada.

Located in a quiet urbanitation, at the foothills of Sierra Nevada. Called, 'Los Pinillos', only 5 km. from Granada center, 20 km. to the winter resort of Prado LLano. 8 km. to Granada Golf Club 'Las Gabias', and 45 minutes to the beaches of the Tropical Coast.

90 m2. built.- with 2 sofas (one of them, bed for two), in a large living-room which has T.V., D.V.D. acces WiFi., Air conditioning, Heating; A fully equiped kitchen with a table for six; A full bathroom; And two bedrooms.- The principal has a extra large double bed (king size), with a balcony, the other bedroom with two single beds. Everything connected with the garden. Where you can swim in the private pool or dining alfresco at the veranda, delighted with stunning views of the Genil river.

Good comunication with a urban bus, every 8 minutes to reach Granada center. At the door there's always free parking.

A perfect place to enjoy with family and friends!

Pleasant, but NOT "next to the Alhambra"

We (2 adults) spent the first week of March 2015 in this clean and spacious 2-bedroom apartment (the basement of the owner’s house, not a “villa” in its own right). We arrived by coach from Malaga and Pepe kindly picked us up (and later dropped us off again) at Granada’s main bus station, a gesture that we very much appreciated. He even stopped at a local shop to help us buy some initial groceries. Thank you, Pepe!

The location of the apartment was quiet and rural, offering attractive walks and cycle routes along the river Genil. However, it is definitely not “next to the Alhambra”; if this is a translation error, it really needs correction. Cenes de la Vega is a suburb of Granada with restaurants, shops and a cheap and frequent bus service into the centre. But it takes about 20 minutes to get to the Paseo del Salon in Granada, where you can change buses, then a further 10-15 minutes by another bus or on foot to get to the Alhambra. Including a 5-minute walk to the bus stop in Cenes, you have to allow 45 minutes to get to any of the main sites in Granada. This wasn’t a problem for us, but in hindsight, I would have preferred a more central location as there is so much to see in Granada.

Visiting the Sierra Nevada was even more time-consuming as it took an hour on the bus from Cenes to the main bus station, then another hour from there to the Sierra, when by car it might have only taken half an hour altogether. So, although a car is not strictly “necessary”, I would recommend one if your main focus is Granada or the Sierra.

The apartment itself was spacious and cool (a bit cold in early March, but the electric heaters and wood pellet burner were quick to warm it up at night, though the hot water wasn’t always reliable.) The kitchen equipment was a bit basic (no electric kettle, no wine or beer glasses) and the Wifi a bit slow. There were only Spanish channels on the TV. The views from the south-facing balcony were excellent and from there you could enjoy the sun from 08.30 till 18.30 hours, even in early March. All in all we had a pleasant stay, but I would definitely recommend a car.

Séjour parfait

Nous sommes restés 8 nuits dans ce logement. Il est situé à la limite des communes de cenes de la vaga et pinos genil. Il est desservi par le bus SN1 (toutes les 15') dont le terminus est très proche et qui va au centre de grenade (palais de congrés par exemple). Sinon vous pouvez prendre la voiture, le centre est proche.

La location est un rez-de-jardin d'une maison qui comporte deux autres niveaux occupés par les propriétaires. Le logement est simple mais très bien aménagé et propre avec tout ce qu'il faut pour dormir et cuisiner (pas de lave-vaisselle). Les proriétaires sont discrets (mais vous les entendez quand même lorsqu'ils tirent de l'eau, ce qui doit être réciproque !) et le quartier est très calme. Le jardin avec une piscine et une tonnelle sont à votre disposition ce qui est sympathique le soir pour manger.

Le WIFI fonctionne très bien. Enfin l'accueil de Pepe a été très agréable. Nous sommes venus surtout pour visiter Grenade et pour les championnats du monde de basket, ce logement nous a parfaitement convenu.

Great value and hospitality

An extremely good value and well located place from which to explore the Sierra Nevada and Granada. Pepe is a gem: a very civilised host and most discrete (his family live above the accommodation but never intruded). You need a car to get here but the very convenient and cheap bus service into Granada were great for avoiding parking stress. Escaping elsewhere was easy too: Guejar is a delightful village up the road and nicer than Cenes de la Vega/Pinos Genil where the accommodation is.The appartment was clean and well furnished and cool (vital for summer)!

Nice flat in a house a short drive from Alhambra.

Firstly the advert should make clear that it is the ground floor flat within a house and not an entire villa as its states. Probably a translation error.

The property was clean, well cared for, and the owner was extremely helpful. There was a pool, but not usable in winter of course. The flat has a lovely automatic wood pellet burning stove.

Attractions: From the property it was only a short drive to Alhambra (the owner can tell you where to park for free) but it is not within walking distance. It is a single bus ride to the centre of Granada. There are good walks in the nearby mountains.

¡La estadía en este lugar fue espectacular!

La propiedad es en los bajos del hogar de Pepe. Él es súper amable. Nos recibió y nos enseñó todo en el apartamento para poder disfrutarlo. Tenía secadora de pelo, jabon para lavar ropa y papel toalla. No tiene secadora de ropa, pero tiene WIFI, que es al fin y al cabo más importante en estos tiempos modernos. Pepe nos orientó súper bien y sus recomendaciones fueron las que hicieron de nuestra estadía una provechosa y súper memorable. Las temperaturas estuvieron perfectas y el árbol de cereza y las fresas fueron un éxito con nuestros dos niños. La piscina está hermosa, fue una pena no tener tiempo para usarla. La vista a la Sierra Nevada es simplemente, ESPECTACULAR. La tranquilidad se respira en el ambiente y el tener la parada del autobús cerca es una gran ventaja. ¡ Altamente recomendado!

A little slice of heaven

This home is far nicer than the photos depict. The view of the mountains from every room is breathtaking! The beds and linens were extrememly comfortable. The house had plenty of room for our family of 4. The hand painted decor added a charming touch to the home and the full kitchen was nice. The apartment was extremely clean. Pepe was very accommodating and the bus into town was convenient. We highly recommend this apartment and hope to return.
