Guestbook comments from the owner

Had a great stay here at Hele Bay. Thanks for allowing us to rent this fab cottage. very clean and with ample space for the family. The X box kept the kids entertained on the couple of rainy days but a great location for for beaches and towns. As we have stayed in north devon many times i would say this is one of the best places to stay to get to the top attractions and sights. Would thoroughly recommend this lovely cottage to my friends and family for an excellent getaway.

Wonderful, peaceful cottage.

  • 5 of 5

Chose the cottage as my husband and I, together with his parents and our dog, were going to spend a long weekend with family in the area. It was perfect for us, enough bathrooms and toilets and a wonderful conservatory we used most of the time. The garden was secure for the dog and although not far from all amenities it was so quiet.

We had a couple of meals , including a wonderful Sunday lunch, at the Hele Bay pub and the beach was very close and never crowded. Ilfracombe was not too far and the harbour terrific.

This was so much more relaxed than booking a hotel and because it allowed us to be flexible we all came back relaxed. We would definitely book here again.

Lovely roomy cottage

  • 5 of 5

This lovely cottage was perfect as a base for exploring Ilfracombe and the surrounding area.

My wife, daughter and her boyfriend, had a lovely stay in Honey Cottage which is so roomy that if any of us wanted space to ourselves we could get it. The conservatory is a real have and the garden a private sun trap.

The cottage is well equipped and with two bathrooms (three lavatories) there were never any queus for the facilities.

The garden is enclosed so that it was very safe for the dogs.

We used the garage to park our car and this was a great boon as didn't have to worry about the dogs escaping as we got out of the car.

The owner is very thoughtful, even emailing us the day before to say that the cottage would be ready early which meant that we in turn could set off early to miss the trafiic.

Wholeheartedly receommended.

A perfectly placed cottage with it all

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful cottage is well equipped, tastefully furnished, and just a short walk from Hele Bay Pub (food is great), Snacking Kraken cafe by Hele beach (the most wonderful beach cafe ever). Ilfracombe with everything you need and want to see only a five min drive or 20 min walk away.

Honey Cottage is a cottage PLUS. So much comfort, mum loved the conservatory (very warm until late evening), kids loved the garden, dad loved the coolness in the two living rooms. Garage a huge plus.

Highly recommended!

Fantastic cottage

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a lovely relaxing week at honey cottage. The tea, biscuits and wine were very appreciated after a long journey. House is very well equipped and the private garden has several sitting out areas for sunny days, the conservatory is a warm place to relax in when it's a bit chilly outside. Double garage was a real bonus. Brilliant location close to two pubs and cafés and short walk to beach. Altogether would highly recommend. Hope to be able to return soon.
