You may just experience the sense of being in Shangri La, in this remodeled second level condo located in a private, gated community between Santa Cruz and Monterey, overlooking an immaculate beach. Its southern exposure provides natural light and warmth year round.

The second floor allows full enjoyment, with no obstruction from dunes or grasses, as with some units. Pelican 37’s deck is more forward, affording privacy from the neighboring units, which are recessed to our right and left, and allowing views of both sunrise AND sunset. Because the condo's location is at the end of the Point, the beach is often without another person in sight, except for early morning walkers.

Relaxing and restful, the condo is perfect for those wanting to ‘get away from it all’. Tennis courts, basketball, sand volleyball and a remarkable Bird Sanctuary are available within the gated community.

Step onto the deck to enjoy the sounds of crashing waves or view the spectacular sunrises or sunsets. Better yet, put your feet up on the double recliner and enjoy the view from the comfort of the great room.

The condo also meets the needs of those who want to be more active, due to its proximity to the attractions of Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz; e.g. whale watching, surfing, kayaking, wine tasting and gourmet dining.

A fully equipped kitchen will please those who chose to 'eat in' and nearby eateries are many, for those who prefer to 'eat out.' More restaurants now offer “take out” and/or delivery.

Most amazing place

From the moment I walked in and saw the incredible views in the living room, my perfect week was set. Everything was very clean and in great shape. Lots of little extras that I really appreciated. The kitchen had everything I needed and more. The bed was super comfortable. The location and view can't be beat. Jane, the host, provided great informatikon and responded quickly. This is my new favorite Pajaro Dunes condo.

Better than Therapy

Came for our twentieth anniversary, and everything was absolutely perfect. Beautiful view and sound of waves and Monterey Bay. You never really need to go anywhere because you are at the beach while you’re sitting on the back deck or even on the couch. Quiet , peaceful stay. Owner is so kind and helpful. Condo is very clean and well-equipped with necessaries. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We love this place.

Property is on point as described. I have no complaints. All stores and restaurants no more than 15 min away. Front door is a bit tricky but works. Property is clean, fully equipped. Owner is fast to reply.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was comfortable and well supplied with everything we needed. The view was unbelievable and we loved seeing all the shorebirds.

Short but sweet

Very quick getaway before an oncoming blizzard. We walked the beach, watched sunrise and sunset and enjoyed my birthday. Kitchen could use a few more glasses, maybe baggies and non stick spray but we were able to make it work and had a wonderful time.

We are a retired teacher and public health nurse, living near the condo, in the Mission town of San Juan Bautista. 37 Pelican Point is a long desired vacation spot for us, after renting various houses and condos there at Pajaro Dunes for many years. Less than a half hour drive for us, it's the perfect spot to enjoy, without much planning or long drives.

Why they chose this property

We love being at the ocean, regardless of the season, and the security at a gated community with staff available 24 hours, and safety features like an on site fire department, were and are very appealing. The proximity to our home was especially appealing, as we hope to continue 'aging in place'. With Monterey and Santa Cruz equidistant, it is the ideal location for us, and attractive to many visitors to California.

What makes this property unique

The full ocean views from inside the condo, as well as the patio outside, were an immediate draw for us, especially since the second floor allows full enjoyment, with no obstruction from dunes or grasses, as with some units.
