5 STAR GOLD Luxury Barn conversion in fabulous Kent Countryside

Waters End sits in the fabulous countryside of ‘The Garden of England’ surrounded by all the lovely things to see and do in both Kent and Sussex. We are a short drive from Leeds, Scotney, Bodiam,Tonbridge and Dover Castle, Knole, Chartwell, Hever Castle and Batemans. Gardens are Sissinghurst, Great Dixter and Pashley Manor, Marle Place, Groombridge, Igtham Mote and the orchards of Brogdale. For history the Cinque ports, Canterbury cathedral, historic Chatham Dockyards and Battle of Hastings in1066. Lovely towns and villages, Cranbrook, Tenterden and Rye, dotted in between are Oast Houses, Windmills and Hop gardens, in amongst those are many Golf Clubs such as Chart Hills and Dale Hill. For the younger Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Camber Sands, Dymchurch and Tenterden Railway. There are also Churches,Museums and activities such as Cycling & walking at Bewl Water and Bedgebury. With many other joys to be had, fine food,beer and wine, lovely country Inns & three Michelin * restaurants.

Hop Pickers, a weather boarded barn conversion accessed by own private drive, stands in 43 acres of lovely kent countryside. Enter by wisteria clad porch to hall, left leads to first double (or can be twin) bedroom, (luxury mattresses thoughout), large shower, separate toilet and washbasin. Right on entry takes you to good sized lounge/diner/kitchen. Kitchen has double electric oven, grill, gas hob, filter coffee maker, cafetiere, Butlers sink, Meile dishwasher,washer/dryer,full sized fridge, freezer and microwave. Lounge has a woodburner surrounded by luxury seating. Two French windows lead out to deck and own garden with cedar summerhouse and barbecue. Hall leads onto second double room , luxury mattress, en-suite with shower. Underfloor heating, slate floors and high ceilings. Beds and linen are all best quality (synthetic bedding can be provided on request). TV and DVD players and WIFI in every room, well furnished throughout and rated 5 star by tourist board and AA.

I'm the luckiest person to live and work here and am never going to get to the bottom of the list of things we want to do here. There's another pond to go in, more flagstone and all you lovely guests to meet from all over the world.

When we opened to guests four years ago I had no idea that it would be so enjoyable, it's a pleasure to be here and I hope it is for you.

We loved this area of England and spent 2 years looking for suitable land to buy, then spent ten years trying for planning permission and finally got it. We wanted to build in the true style of Kent and we hope you will approve of the results

Our farm stands within a truly delightful 43 acres of beautiful quiet contryside with georgous view. We have two lakes of 12 acres to stroll around and over the last ten years we have planted 12,000 native broadleaf trees with walk ways through.

This all creates the perfect place to just chill out or explore the delights of south east England

All beds are fully made up for arrival with egyptain cotton sheets and 'feather pillows and duvets' unless notified otherwise on booking. Towels and bath mat are also provided, and hair dryer. Corridor with ample coat hanging space leads to living area.

Helpful information: The property is all on one level,as is the parking, however please note that there are door sills to negotiate if young,disabled or infirm, also please note doorways are standard width and no special bathroom facilities. Should you need further information please do contact us. Waters End is a non smoking area, please respect this. We do have pets, chickens, cats, dogs and horses and sometimes livestock on the farm. The lakes attract a lot of water birds, geese ducks and even kingfishers.

An Amazingly Relaxing Stay

We loved our stay at Hop Pickers Cottage, it was so peaceful and relaxing.

The cottage itself had great facilities and was comfy and cosy.

We made the most of sitting in the spacious garden and my son enjoyed the space for playing.

It was a real treat to explore the land and lakes of Waters End, taking in the nature (which we did daily).

Overall great for those looking to relax and unwind in a beautiful and peaceful setting.

Second time stay at WatersEnd farm was just as lovely as the first one: suberb location, wonderful barn, excellent welcome by owners Jill and Maurice.

If we could rate it above 10/10, we would. A gem in Kent!

We certainly are looking forward to staying again, either for a short break or longer vacation.

Excellent Stay. Loved it! Could NOT have been nicer!

easy to get to, very very comfortable. The food left for our arrival was such a lovely welcome. overall, my wife and I and two young kids had a blast. would love to come back again year after year. so much we would love to do.. would love to be sitting on that deck with morning tea any day! All the comforts and utility of home in such a pleasant setting. Thanks so much! This was my first VRBO type rental and I am hooked. They have you to thank!
