Brand new apartment in Samoens, Haute Savoie completed to a high standard in November 2017, by local builders. Conveniently located just an hours drive from Geneva airport, our apartment is on a quiet one-way street, with cycle lane within a few minutes easy walk to bars, boutiques, restaurants, ice rink and the botanical garden in the historic and traditional Alpine village of Samoens. The free, regular ski bus stops outside, and takes 5 minutes to the Grand Massif gondola. The apartment is also located a short flat walk from the leisure park which has outdoor tennis courts, a fishing lake, a golf driving range, a putting green, pony rides, children’s play area, picnic tables and an outdoor swimming pool with a flumes making it ideal for both winter and summer breaks. Nearby in Samoens, there is also a high zip-wire course, a bowling alley, a covered ice-rink and many scenic family bike trails with a choice of hire shops locally . During the summer months a small tourist train operates around the village and there are various entertainments in the village centre (details of which are also published in English at the local tourist information). The neighbouring town of Morillon can be cycled to along the valley and here there is a beautiful swimming lake and beach along with a zip wire course ,crazy golf course and some lovely restaurants.

The apartment itself is situated on the first floor of a quiet residence of only 5 other apartments, accessed by a covered flight of stairs. It is furnished to a high standard with a modern style and is fully equipped for both family and small group self—catering holidays. There is off-street parking. There is a lockable ski locker downstairs and washing machine available for guest use in the garage. The apartment benefits from underfloor heating throughout, newly-fitted bathrooms and an equipped kitchen with open plan dining and living room and a cosy log burner. The mountain view can be enjoyed from the south- facing balcony with cocoon swing and loungers.

The apartment comprises of 1 double room with king size bed, 1 twin room with TV and DVD player and a separate enclosed area with built-in full size bunk beds. There are 2 new shower rooms with toilets and washbasins in each.

The living area has an LCD TV and an XBOX 1 with games Toy box with a selection of books, board games and toys and melamine tablewear for children also available.

Friday change over but may be flexible particularly during low season. Long weekend stays also available on request.

Children welcome. Free WiFi. Towels and bed linen provided. Non- smoking. Not suitable for pets.

Meet and greet on arrival and Cleaning service on departure included.

About Apartment Reve de Montagne

We are a family of 5 living in Edinburgh. We bought our apartment because we wanted to enjoy ski and summer holidays in a nice authentic French village which was easily accesible to drive or fly from the UK . Our son is autistic so we wanted him to feel at home here: and be able to return regularly to the same place. Although less well known than some its neighbours, we finally decided on Samoens because it’s a pretty, friendly and compact village with a traditional alpine feel along with a good selection of reasonably priced restaurants, bars, shops etc There are plenty of activities on offer in both Winter and Summer More than just a ski resort basically.

Why Apartment Reve de Montagne chose Samoëns

We bought it from a local developer: as we liked the location and high quality of the build: we love the south facing balcony and the fact that it is in a small block of only 5 other apartments . Having been on many skiing holidays in the alps squeezed into shoe box sized accommodation with lots of alpine chintz we’ve tried to decorate it in a modern style, keeping it simple but well equipped (with not a red heart in sight!) : We spend a lot of time in cars at home, so really like not having to use the car and cycle and walk everywhere, except for day trips, while we are here. The apartment is on a quiet one way street with a cycle lane. The free ski bus stops close by in winter and you can rent a ski locker up at Samoens 1600, helpful option for tired legs!

What makes this apartment unique

Apart from skiing and sledging, the children really love cycling along the Giffre valley, the ice-rink, local pizzas, and waffles, bowling, horse-riding and the flume at the local pool in Summer. The chair lift operates in Summer too for walkers and bikes so trips up the mountain for picnics and walks are great days out too.

Beautiful Samoens Apartment

This apartment is absolutely lovely - it is well-designed and has really beautiful furnishings.

We skied and it is close to the ski bus stop - the apartment was warm to return to after a day's skiing and sitting with a glass of wine looking out at the Grand Massif was perfect!

Town was a safe, quick walk and Samoens is an extremely pretty village with a great selection of restaurants.

We want to go back soon!

Car: recommended

Although you don’t need a car for getting around Samoens there are a number of day trips worth doing so within an hours drive or less ( Chamonix, Lakr Annecy, Lake Geneva, Morzine ) or to Italy which is further.
