About the property

Spacious living accommodation beautiful views wifi, aircon, tv and private pool

Live in style and luxury at Casa del Vega. Newly built, the villa is situated on a small urbanization. The villa is spacious with three double bedrooms on the 1st floor and a further study/bedroom downstairs. The master bedroom has en-suite facilities and the upstairs living space includes a family bathroom. The downstairs area is open plan and offers a flexible living space. The large living room is linked to an equally large kitchen/dining area.

All rooms have air-conditioning.

Doors lead from the living area, out onto a bigger than average terrace where you can enjoy beautiful views and sunsets over the Valencian countryside. From the terrace you can enjoy outside living. Parents in particular will find the terrace a convenient vantage point in which to supervise activities in the private swimming pool below. Those who enjoy outside living will certainly be impressed by the barbecue built on the terrace. The terraced garden includes a newly built swimming pool. The garden is planted with a simple Mediterranean style garden.

Please note that the property is on a small urbanization, the back of the property (from back terrace and pool area) is more or less open countryside, there are neighbours to the front and side of the property. The villa is a stand alone property. Our next door neighbour has an olive orchard in the adjoining property. There maybe some daily activity in the area, as is usually the case in Spanish urbanizations. Access roads are very good, tarred roads all the way to the Villa. The property is not near any bars, discos or restaurants. The closest restaurants/bar is a 5 minute drive from the property. Listen out for the beeping horn of the bread van which visits the urbanization between 9 and 10am every morning in August and other bank holidays and take your pick of fresh bread and sweet breakfast buns!

Attractions nearby: Bunol (famous for La tomatina - tomatoe festival. Many other local villages which have fiestas running through August. The closest town, Turis has supermarkets, banks etc etc. Valencia, a diverse range of attractions and all the facilities of a large city is only 35 miles away. Xativa The historic castle set along a mountain ridge is a 'must see'.

The impressive promenade and beach of Malvarossa. The 40 km sandy beach of El Saler.

Albufera, Valencia's largest lake and nature reserve, closest town is El Palmer.

Sagunto: Hilltop Roman castle - Enormous! Navajas: Impressive waterfall, Jerica: Beautiful old hilltop village with Moorish tower, Montanejos: Impressive warm water canyon for swimming, Teruel: Historic Moorish city.

Biking and walking in the Sierra Calderona, for amazing mountain walks.

The spectacular world famous festival 'Las Fallas', and on the last Wednesday of August each year, the world famous tomato throwing festival, 'La Tomatina', takes place in Bunol, 12 km from Casa del Vega.

Valencia Climate: The climate is generally fairly mild, particularly along the coastline. Rainy weather is more common during springtime, with occasional heavy downpours. Average temperatures in February are 16°C / 61°F, although by the end of March it is generally beach weather, night times can still be a little chilly.

The summer weather and climate in Valencia is hot, with daytime temperatures between June to September averaging around 28°C / 82°F. Temperatures peak during July and August, reaching 30°C / 86°F or more. Valencia and the city becomes a major tourist destination, with visitors arriving to take advantage of the sunny weather and beautiful sandy beaches along the coast.

Temperatures in Valencia during September average around 25°C / 77°F, by late October early November, 19°C / 66°F. December and January tend to feature the coldest weather and climate in Valencia, end of January it starts to feel as if spring is just around the corner.

About Kate Jerry

Dominic and I bought this wonderful plot 10 years ago as a holiday home, we knocked down the old Casita and build this wonderful villa with fabulous views.

I am a visual artist and my partner has a background working in theatre. We love our holidays here and the children would love to live day!

xxx happy holidays

Kate Jerry purchased this villa in 2011

Why Kate Jerry chose Turís

Because it is a beautiful area, full of friendly people, near the Mediterranean sea, sand, nestled amongst citrus, olive and almond orchards and the beautiful historical city Valencia. It was the incredible views from the villa over these orchards that made us fall in love with the property.

What makes this villa unique

Spacious, private, great views, convenient for Valencia airport and links to the rest of Europe.......and Valencia City. Air conditioning and heating in bedrooms (except 1 which has a fan) and living area.

Guestbook comments from the owner

A modern, well equipped, spacious villa with stunning views across the Valencia countryside.

  • 5 of 5

We were a varied family group and the villa proved ideal for our requirements. The rooms were spacious and the villa is well equipped. We had a couple of issues but nothing that marred our enjoyment of our stay. We would definitely recommend to others and think about returning at some point.

Beautiful, relaxing holiday home near Valencia

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay in this house. The location is perfect.....about 25 mins from Valencia, the beach and IKEA! Has a real country feel with stunning views over the hills and olive groves. Near quaint little towns which have interesting fiestas and outdoor cafes serving great tapas. The bread van would hoot at the gate every morning around 9 and we would select our fresh breakfast croissants and breads and sit on the large balcony with our coffee. A perfect way to start the day. The house was immaculate and everything including the pool were well maintained. The kids really enjoyed cracking the almonds open and eating them fresh from the almond trees in the garden. The owners were so lovely and provided fabulous customer service. Would definitely recommend it to a friend!

Our stay, two families with 2 kids each, had a great vacation at Casa del Vega. Wonderful house, beautiful view and amazing sunsets. And the kids, and us adults, pretty much lived in the pool area. Everything was really great, exept for the pool getting real dirty and everything in it turned green in the last days. Would probably have needed to become cleened once or twice that week. Exept fronm that the stay was really lovely!

Owner's Response: I am so happy you had a wonderful time at 'Casa del Vega' and you spent a good vacation. We are a little confused over the pool feedback. We expect the highest standards at the villa and the pool in particular. The pool is cleaned once a week, plus extra cleaning prior to a new client arriving at the villa. We ask our clients to inform us of any difficulties, so if there is a problem we can address promptly. If we are not informed, then we assume everything is alright. The feedback I received after the clients left was similarly positive, so I don't quite understand? Thank you anyway for choosing our villa, and spending time in this wonderful part of Spain!

Beautiful place to vacation and relax

  • 5 of 5

Casa Vega is a lovely villa with gorgeous views. Its about 25 minutes outside of Valencia. In a perfect location to explore the surrounding area and still make it "home" each evening to relax on the balcony or chill by the pool. The area is quiet and peaceful. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen well equipped. The wi-fi reliable and fast. The pool clean.

My husband started each morning with a swim in the pool then would start breakfast. By the time the rest of us made it downstairs he would have coffee and a meal prepared plus cava chilled, ready to be served with breakfast on the balcony.

We took a wine tour with personal wine guide Tony (left his card at the house so others can use him also. Very knowledgeable and nice guy). We spent a day at the beach and had dinner at a local restaurant.

Katy made sure we were well looked after and responded quickly to any request or questions. The house managers were very friendly and full of useful information regarding the area and places to see and how to get there.

Perfect family Villa

  • 5 of 5

The villa is beautifully furnished and equipped with wonderful views of the hills. It has plenty of space and the pool was perfect for the family.

Lorraine, the housekeeper, was lovely and extremely helpful with excellent local knowledge on the beaches and restaurants to visit.

Valencia can be reached easily by train or car and has a lot to offer. The City of arts and sciences was fantastic and well worth a visit.

Thank you Kate for a wonderful stay.
