  • A good night’s sleep is perhaps the most important part of any holiday. We hope the goose down and feather* duvets and pillows and organic cotton linens on a super-comfy, hand-crafted, king size bed will give a luxurious feel to your stay. The bedroom’s TV has a built-in DVD player in case you can’t drag yourself out of bed. If you need help waking up, there’s a clock radio with an mp3 input. When you are lounging in bed in the morning, it might seem a long way down to the kitchen, so there’s a small kettle for you to make a cuppa or two. The large wardrobe with built-in drawers should provide adequate space for your clothes, and there’s extra drawer space in the bedside cabinets. We’ve also provided a hair-dryer in case you leave yours behind. *The pillows and duvet are all hypo-allergenic goose down and feather, but we also have a spare set of microfibre pillows and duvet, so let us know if you are concerned about allergies, and we’ll make the bed up with these instead.

Notes:
Idris (meaning “fiery lord”) was the name of the little dragon in the enchanting 1980s cartoon, “Ivor The Engine”, set in Snowdonia. It is also the name of a stunning mountain near Dolgellau (Cader Idris). We decided to name our cottage (and our dragon) Idris Bach (“Little Idris”) in honour of that little dragon. “The Complete Ivor The Engine” DVD is provided in the cottage for you to discover/reminisce during your stay. Idris Bach is laid out over three floors. It is a roomy, one-bedroom cottage for two people. All the rooms are bright and airy and there is central heating throughout, so it’s lovely and cosy all year round.
