The Steelworks is a modern gated apartment complex which also hosts a number of ground floor commercial offices. The apartments are well managed and maintained, it’s hard to believe that you are in central Dublin when in the communal courtyard. O’Connell Street the man thorough fair is a 10 minute walk. Business Travellers like the steelworks apartments as it’s a mere 10 minute walk into the heart of the IFSC. The apartments are furnished with wooden floors throughout. Its layout has a master bedroom en suite with two single beds, double bedroom and large living area with a futon for two and access to the balcony. The property has a well equipped kitchen.

Over Paid for Underwhelming Property
No one has anything to be proud of: VRBO/Home Away charged 61 Euro but did nothing to help us when we needed it. Property management, Swipe Property, changed to location of the key lockbox without informing us. The property owner needs to work on maintenance: needs light bulbs, does that work better, hooks for items in the bathrooms, etc and supplies such as more towels instead of one bath towel per person, some soap, shampoo, etc. Sorry to have paid this price for what we got.
Would never recommend this apartment! It was dirty and in disrepair. Very poor management
It started when the lockbox with the key was not where we were directed. Matter of fact it was non existent as it had been removed the day before our arrival. No one bothered to advise us of this detail so we wandered around trying to find someone at the complex with no luck. Finally went to a nearby office where they were kind enough to let us make a call to the owner’s management company, Swipe Properties. They advised us they would be there in ten minutes with a key. After standing in front of the complex for a while, the person cleaning the apartment came down and let us in. She spoke very little English which made communication difficult. She was not finished cleaning so we were to leave off our bags only. The apartment was supposed to be ready at 3 and it was already close to 5! Then, of course, there was the issue of a key which she did not have. After her communicating with someone on the phone she went downstairs and came back with a key for us. Never did the management explain or apologize for the missing lockbox and key (by the way this lockbox was supposedly on a wall 5 minutes from the apartment). When we finally got to settle in the apartment, it looked nothing like the pristine apartment in the pictures! There was black mold and mildews in the bathrooms, grime in bathrooms, non working lights, broken curtain in living room, broken toilet seat, panel off washer, frozen over freezer, etc. The apartment was not in good condition and smelled disgusting. I advised management of these issues and sent pictures. They seemed to blame it on housekeeping but the problems were way past housekeeping issues. We never felt the management company was concerned with our issues or our discomfort. On a score of 1 - 10, it was a 1!
