Woodcroft, located in the village of Horgabost on the west coast of Isle of Harris, is situated within walking distance of beautiful unspoiled sandy beaches.
Until 1957 it was an ordinary Hebridean croft. That year it was taken over by a couple, who slowly transformed the place into the unique woodland it appears today.
A huge garden was planted in the 14 acre croft by one man over a period of 45 years - and simultaneously a bed and breakfast was established. Many people enjoyed the hospitality then - as well as now.
It is the perfect place to stay as a base for exploring the island and all it's possibilities. If you arrive in June-July, you can experience the blooming 'machair'.
The house has 2 large bedrooms on the ground floor, 1 small bedroom on 1st floor with a private toilet, a living room with views over the village, a large kitchen with all modern facilities and a bathroom with bath and shower. The house has oil central heating and an open coal fire in the living room. There is wireless internet connection as well as a TV and a dvd player. NO pets allowed.
