Absolutely stunning!

  • 5 of 5

Gull Cottage is a beautiful, homely cottage with spectacular views. It was very comfortable and clean and felt like home for a week. The views are absolutely stunning and the best we have ever seen. We arrived at 3am on Saturday morning in the dark and the fog and couldn't see much of our surroundings so when we awoke later, opened the curtains and saw the view for the first time it was definitely a wow moment. The cottage had everything we could want and suited us all. We had intended eating out some evenings but we were all more than happy to come back to Gull cottage after a day's sightseeing for a relaxing bbq on the decking enjoying the wonderful views and weather so didn't end up eating out once. We felt it was more than a base to explore the area, we wanted to spend as much time as possible at the cottage as well. We did have an issue with a power failure but that was dealt with promptly and when we returned later that day all was up and running again.

We will definitely return.

It was easy to book this cottage and all communication was excellent. Very well equipped and views to die for. Marazion has fabulous beaches and is an easy walk from the cottage. We loved it and have recommended it to friends. Thanks for a great holiday.

Stunning view, clean & comfy cottage

  • 5 of 5

After a week in another cottage, we arrived to find this cottage spic and span. Bottle of wine & milk awaited us as a welcoming touch. Owner was kind enough to accept our two cats as they are a hypoallergenic breed who enjoyed watching out the windows to the Mount, as did we enjoying that bottle of wine. Savoured mornings with cup of coffee looking at the stunning view. Bed was a bit soft which I didn't mind though my husband didn't sleep as well. But with the view, cleanliness and the thoughtful touches the owner put into the decor, who really cares?

Owner's Response: Dear Charis Thank you for your great review and so glad you (and the cats!) had a good holiday and enjoyed the cottage and the wine. Its SO difficult right with regard to the bed and I am sorry your husband didn't sleep well. It is such a personal thing, we have had some people say the bed is too hard, some its too soft and some its just right, a bit like Goldilocks!. However, on balance, most people seem to say it is VERY comfortable, so guess we are comforted by that. Many thanks again for taking the trouble to write a review, we do appreciate it. Fiona

Love at first sight

  • 4 of 5

This cottage is really a HIGHLIGHT.

It absolutely matches all descriptions and the organization was perfect, too.

Unfortunately we didn`t feel very comfortable with the double bed. That`s the reason for only 4 stars.

Otherwise I would have given six ******

Owner's Response: Dear Ulrike Thank you very much your review and I am so glad you enjoyed the cottage and found it matched the description perfectly. However, I apologise for the fact that you did not find the bed comfortable, as in the past we have had much positive feedback. Ultimately, it is a matter of personal taste and I am sorry it was not quite right for you.

It cannot be better

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week in Gull Cottage.

Fresh flowers, tea, milk and wine for a warm welcome. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with lovely details. From the first second we felt like being at home. Even our dog was allowed to be with us.

From the back of the cottage you have a stunning view over the Mount Bay and I cannot count the photos we have taken because it was such beautiful.

Many interesting places to visit from Marazion and wonderful trails to go.

We want to come back again!!! Thank you Sandra, Fiona and David.

Fabulous cottage with amazing views

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful location and a stunning cottage. The views are outstanding from the bedroom and sitting room. The outside terrace is perfect for meals al fresco. The open plan downstairs is very spacious.and works well with a family. We were so pleased that we were allowed to bring our dog. The access to the beach is easy and very dog friendly. The village is charming and has a number of good restaurants. It is a good base to explore this part of Cornwall within easy reach of Sennen Cove, Lands End and Mousehole. Would highly recommend this cottage - one of the best we have every stayed in. Will definitely return.

Marazion is the gateway to St Michael's Mount, the jewel in Cornwall's crown and is managed by The National Trust. You can visit The Mount via the cause way at low tide, or by small ferries, known as 'hobblers' at high tide.

The whole of West Cornwall is within 30 min drive , allowing easy access to towns such as Penzance and transfer to Isles to The Isles of Scilly, St Ives, Hayle, Helston, Mousehole all offering shops, restaurants, and galleries, including the Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Sculptor Garden.

Marazion is located in the narrowest part of the county, therefore no more than 10 miles from some of the most spectacular coastline and beaches in the UK. These include Sennen at Land's End, Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre, Porthminster, Porthgwidden and Porthmeor all at St Ives, Carbis Bay and Gwithian Towans, all offering surf and sandcastles. Marazion's local beach is 1/2 mile from Gull Cottage and offers golden sands and safe swimming.
