Charming and characterful house with stunning views.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for 9 nights. Pietro very helpful, and prompt in answering any questions we had. He also arranged for us to be met when we realised that we wouldn’t arrive until midnight.

The house is charming and full of character. Every room has incredible views of Lake Como which you will not tire of! Great terrace for eating/sitting out and enclosed gardens for the children to play in.

We ate in most evenings (children are 7 and 5) and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Sparkling bed linen and towels. Our bed was great, the children’s bed frames were a bit saggy (mattresses new though) - but to be fair they didn’t notice too much.

Our five year old counted 141 (ish!) steps from the house to the road where the parking is. However he managed them fine every time - except on arrival in the middle of the night when he was fast asleep.

You then walk down through the main part of the village to get to the lake front and the ferry pier.

A lovely place to stay.

A lovely house with a great view!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Jasmin No. 1 for two weeks this summer and it was a really pleasent stay:-) The house has a very nice, Italian atmosphere with spacious rooms and Pietro and his family are really helpful and welcoming. The view of the lake and the mountains is spectacular and Torno is a very charming small town with a well equipped grocery store, a gelateria, a cosy bar, etc. There are some very nice, small and quiet beaches nearby in Fagetto Lario (5 min. by car or bus). Previous guests have mentioned the walk from the parking area to the house: the walk takes about 10 minutes, and it is beautiful but also a bit steep (35-40 metres).

We highly recommend a stay in Coerezza's wonderful pink villa:-)

Great views over the lake

  • 3 of 5

The house occupies a fantastic setting with uninterrupted views over the lake. The house itself is spacious and reasonably child friendly and the garden is excellent wth plenty of seating options plus swings etc for the kids. Access to the house involves a lot of rough steps (we were warned) and is therefore difficult to access with a child buggy, although it can be managed. A microwave and an electric kettle would have been useful, the electricity 'trips' occasionally and the hot water can be a bit hit and miss. However, these small issues are well compensated by the setting.

Splendid view from hard to reach house

  • 2 of 5

The house is very lovely located on a hill overlooking lake Como.Torno is a place with few available parking spots but if you can get your car without damage in the garage of the owner, parking is no problem for you. I got my V50 in with a few inches left and loudly beeping parking sensors (and no damage) ;-)

Although the location of the house on the hill provides a splendid view, the house cannot be reached by car. It takes a walk up the hill of about 5 to 8 minutes. You'll get used to it, but the first time and last time (with luggage!) can be quite a struggle. The advantage: no cars (noise/sound) around the house!

Note to future guests: take care of your valuable items: I lost my sun glasses and watch somewhere in/around the house while another guest left a note in the house that he/she lost his red iPod Nano...

Really nice place to stay!

  • 4 of 5

We had a few wonderful days in the house. The family is very hospitable. The house has everything you need. The beds, towels, all is comfortable. It has an amazing view. You'll soon forget the way to come "upstairs". :-)

We would recommend the house to others certainly.

Family with teens.

A lovely villa with a great view of the lake. It was worth the climb up the tracks to get to the villa. Our 2-year-old struggled with the walk but was happy to go on our shoulders when she was tired and we were fine with that. Pietro and his family were very kind and our kids loved playing with his kids. A wonderful holiday!
