A delightful thatched cottage set in the South Downs National Park, Martins Cottage is set in the grounds of the Owners residence and has access to the delightful and extensive gardens.
The accommodation consists of a living/ dining area with an open wood fire at the centre. There is a comfortable sofa with an armchair and a dining table for two. There is Freeview television and books provided and Wifi throughout. The compact kitchen leads on from the lounge and has a full oven and hob, fridge freezer and microwave.
The ground floor double bedroom has a fitted wardrobe with a chest of drawers and overlooks the garden. The bathroom is accessed via the lounge and has a bath with telephone shower attachment, WC and basin.
Outside the cottage, there is a table and two chairs provided to enjoy the gardens.
Off road parking is provided for one car.
Bury and beyond
Bury village sits underneath the mighty Bury Hill from where spectacular views of the Arun Valley can be enjoyed. As the River Arun winds its way through its wide plain, it finds its way to the edge of Bury, where for many years a ferry operated across the river. It is a short walk from the cottage to join the South Downs Way
Arundel is just 3 miles to the south of Arundel with its impressive castle and cathedral definitely worth a visit. Also, there are numerous craft and antique shops as well as restaurants and tearooms. It’s a great place to wander and just enjoy the ambience.
The stately National Trust property of Petworth House and deer park which was landscaped by Capability Brown is just 10 minutes drive from here. The magnificent country house contains an internationally renowned art collection with numerous works by Turner.
The Sussex coast is less than 10 miles drive from the cottage providing a lovely coastal day out. Other attractions in the area include events at the Goodwood Estate such as the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival
