The Bonny Cottage, one of Cambria’s original cabins, is poised high in a delightful area affectionately known as Happy Hill. Tranquil, private, surrounded by trees and gardens, it is less than a mile to the villages and to Moonstone Beach. Built in 1923, this cottage retains its original sense of charm and history, yet is thoughtfully appointed for a comfortable stay.
There are two bedrooms with wonderfully-restful beds (one king, one queen) and luxurious linens. There is a master bathroom as well as an ensuite powder room. Shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries and necessities are provided.
The peaceful, intimate living room features a gas fireplace and french doors that open to the sunlight (or starlight), with ocean views beyond. You will find a wide selection of books, as well as two cable TVs and a DVD player. We should mention that the decor changes to celebrate the seasons: autumn, winter, spring and summer, each in its turn.
There is a fully-stocked kitchen complete with glassware, dishes, cookware, and basic pantry supplies. Depending on the weather and your mood, there are also options for outdoor grilling and dining.
After spending your days exploring all that Cambria and California’s central coast have to offer, come home to read under the massive old oak, enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of tea in the gardens, watch the ocean change colors on the sunny deck or sit by the fire at night and listen to the waves...
