Basement unit

The unit was located in a basement of a home in close proximity to Queen's University. It was lovely on first impression, appearing to be recently renovated. Access via lock box key was easy. Communication with owners was via email and text. There was adequate WiFi signal in most but not all areas of the unit. Overnight on-street parking, but not through the day...there is a space behind the house through a narrow drive.

The unit needed better cleaning. The floors were gritty. The stove top needed a wipe down and the bathroom mat needed washing. The beds were a bit older. The basement was humid during the summer time stay and could have used a dehumidifer. Those shortcomings were relatively minor.

The biggest issue for us was that this was a basement unit. There were party elephants above us and there coming and goings were far to easy to hear and disrupted all but one nights sleep. I spoke to them on the first night which quieted the yelling, but music and loud footsteps continued to awaken us , sometimes at 3AM when they returned home. Sadly, that will be our primary memory of our stay.

Recently renovated, comfortable place to stay.

A pleasant place to stay with a spacious and well appointed kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and a nicely done bathroom. The property is conveniently situated close to downtown and is an easy walk to the Queen's campus. Greg, the owner, was very responsive and answered all our questions within a few hours of contact. We would certainly stay there again.

Great interior design

Beautifull appartment with nice/good kitchen and laundry facilities.

No garden or terrace, but I could sit outside in the sun in front of the front door :-) l.

We walked to the lake front passing the beautifull university buildings (20 mins) and through Princess street to Kingston old town (about 30 mins).

Nice play ground for little children one block away.

In may it was a nice and quiet neigbourhood, though clubs and restaurant are maybe 5-10 mins away.
