About Tom Van Hill
My Wife Auri and I (Tom) bought this house at the end of the 2015 year. We have spent most of our free time remodeling the house since we bought it so we can rent it out for the summers. We live on our 1973 33 ft Christ Craft Sport Sedan Bridge boat for the summer months.

Why Tom Van Hill chose Grand Haven
Tommy grew up in Grand Haven and when he brought Auri to show her his hometown she too fell in love with the quaint little town, the board walk beside the river and it's amazing beach along Lake Michigan. It's a true harbor town with many boats, from small to large and many tourists that travel from far. Just sitting on the porch at this Jackson Street house will be a parade every day of motorcycles, hot rods, muscle cars, and jacked up trucks.

Adorable, quaint house
The Jackson house was neat, clean and just right for our family of five. Our kids loved the enclosed porch and spent some quiet downtime out there, drawing, playing games and relaxing. The house was close to downtown (short drive or a 10 minute walk) and we were even able to walk to a few restaurants. Our 18 month old was drawn to the staircase going up to the bedrooms, so if you have little ones, you might want to block off the stairs with a chair or two. We especially enjoyed the soft bath towels and the tidy bathroom. The only thing we recommend is leaving an extra roll of toilet paper, as the one roll was not enough for our Sunday-Wednesday stay. Overall, we have some great memories of our first trip to Grand Haven and look forward to visiting again!
Nice and clean.
Any time I had a questions and emailed the landlord, he wrote right back. He was always kind and helpful. The house was clean and inviting.
Beautiful, cozy, convenient
We loved returning to the Jackson Home for our second year of vacation. It's affordable, convenient, great amenities, very comfortable.
Great, easy walk to the farmer's market, to a winery tasting room, to the Musical Fountain, and an easy drive to the beach as well.
We definitely will be back!
Great home, very clean.
Very clean and walking distance to restaurants. Great!
Cute and comfortable digs
We had a wonderful time during our four-night stay here while in Grand Haven! The space is perfect, and laid out excellently to take advantage of every inch of its limited amount. Loved the attic bedroom and the user-friendly kitchen. (One suggestion: Some microwave-safe plates wouldn't go amiss.) Grill in the back yard is also great to use -- we ate in more nights than we ate out!
It's wonderfully walkable to a number of attractions, and we'll probably do even more of that on our next visit. Definitely plan to return!
Very clean & within walking distance to downtown
The house was very clean, and is so close to downtown that you can walk there. It is very reasonably priced for the accommodations. The best thing about this house is the owners, Tom was great from beginning to end, and he responded to any questions within the same day. I had an issue with my credit card/security deposit, and he took care of it with absolutely no problems at all. If you are looking for a clean house that is close to downtown and friendly, no hassle owners than you definitely want to stay here! I would definitely come back again! Thank you Tom & Auri!!
