Newly renovated - open plan living area. Comfortable and well furnished
NOTE: If you require somewhere a little bigger with more space to socialise in please check out my absolutley beautiful 4 bedroomed house "Viewfield West End House" which is only a little further out of town (2km) which is only a 20-30min walk/40-50min walk into town along the west end.
Being well travelled for business and pleasure myself both with and without my children I know what it takes to make a place homely for both adults and kids alike and that is my aim for all of our properties, to create a home away from home for all.
This property has been my children's and my home for periods of our lives and I have recently spend significant time here specifically to improve it for guests so meets my very high standards and will be ideal for you and your family/friends to enjoy without anything at all to worry about.
As with all of our properties my objective is to provide somewhere I would want to (and routinely do) stay with my children. Good quality furniture, linen, towels and soft furnishings are provided throughout and brand new Silentnight memory foam mattresses are provided on all beds with mattress protectors always fitted. Which have received excellent reviews from all guests, many people saying it is the best nights sleep they have ever had.
Secure entry (see photo of intercom system to control outside security door) from both front and back doors (back door direct from off road car park behind complex - the flat has one dedicated parking space but can also fit one other car in front of it and not impede anyone else).
Layout is from entering front door; the lobby with coat hanging space, two good sized double bedrooms (with bedside cabinet/lamps, mirrored sliding wardrobes/hangers, ample drawer space in chest of drawers) to the left, bathroom with combination boiler fed mains powered shower over bath straight on and living room and fully equipped dining kitchen to the right.
The whole place is very bright with plenty of windows allowing natural light in. Main living space was recently opened up with natural wood flooring laid to form a lovely modern open plan kitchen, dining and lounge space. This forms a great communal and interactive area to dine, socialise and relax in.
Lounge has a comfortable cream leather sofa with solid oak coffee and side tables. Double sofa bed provides additional seating. Wall mounted Panasonic TV with Freeview channels, DVD player, and Apple compatible (WhatHIFI 5 star rated) Denon RCD-M39DAB micro music system (to link your iPhone, etc to/play CDs) and (WhatHIFI 5 star rated) Q Acoustics 2010i speakers for chilled out evenings in.
Kitchen has fully integrated full size 50:50 fridge freezer, full size dishwasher, electric hob, oven, microwave, kettle, cafeteria and toaster. Also has washer/drier (with detergent) concealed in cupboard with iron/ironing board, cleaning products/utensils. It is very well equipment with good range or pans, casserole dishes, slow cooker, etc. Our new larger dining table comfortably sits 6 persons. A handysitt, which hooks over the top of a normal chair and has padding and a strap to restain the child to perform the function of a high chair but is more portable and easier to store can also be provided on request. It is handy if you're going anywhere, please feel free to take it around with you if you're visiting friends and family but obviously leave it before you departure!
Although breakfast is not provided a selection of tea, coffee, sugar etc is provided.
Dyson DC25 vacuum cleaner and 2200w hairdryer are also provided.
There are double beds in each relatively large bedroom, each able to sleep 2 persons and a double sofa bed in the living area which could also sleep 2 persons therefore the maximum capacity is 6 adults. Each bedroom has brand new 80% wool mix dark grey carpets and black out curtains as well as blinds to ensure a great nights sleep. There is also built in sliding mirrored wardrobe doors, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets/lights in each bedroom so there is plenty of storage for those wanting to stay longer durations with more personal belongings.
A travel cot, with 7cm mattress topper for adequate comfort and one fitted sheet will be provided to allow for a great nights sleep for one very young guest! Note apart from the provision of fitted sheets for the cot no bedding is provided with the travel cot, this would have to be provided by guests.

I live between Aberdeen and South Shields so I am able to keep a close eye on my properties and ensure they have an impeccable standard of maintenance, furnishing and decor as well as cleanliness. I also know both areas really well so am keen to help any guests with queries they have about the local area and find all the best spots for the purpose of their visits. I pride myself on being helpful and friendly and it is nice to hear this is how guests have found me in the reviews for all of our properties. Why Colin chose Aberdeen
You have the entire apartment, including the free parking space in the off street car park (much of central Aberdeen is permit only, including the front street). There is also a small lawn out the back which I often use to dry clothes in the summer (although the washer drier can also dry clothes!). Note that this had been my home in the past so has a very home from home feel. I have spend time here with my two children so you are guaranteed that it will be comfortable and meet my very high standards. Please feel free to enjoy the selection of DVDs, board games and books during your stay. You will see once you come! The apartment consistently is enjoyed by guest after guest; space, facilities, comfort, cleanliness, power shower, location, it really has it all!). Warm, comfortable flat in central location
The apartment has everything that you could possibly need for a wonderful stay. It is very clean, warm and comfortable. It is very close to the city centre, but it is also very easy to escape the city to enjoy the gorgeous beaches and wonderful countryside.
Colin is a wonderful host and provides a very good service. He was on hand to answer any query we had.
I would highly recommend this apartment.

Lovely spacious apartment, bright and welcoming.
We were welcomed at Claremont Street with a fresh and bright apartment. We found tea and coffee in the cupboards so we could settle in straight away with a refreshing cuppa after a long drive. The apartment was warm with plenty of hot water and lovely big towels to wrap up in after bathing. There is plenty to do and see around the local area. We visited Haddo House, Castle Fraser, and Muchalls Bay. The appartment is also well situated for walking into Averdeen for eating and shopping.
Really a great home away from home
A great home well furnished warm and spacious. Many small touches around the house that gave it a warm and welcoming character plus our host Colin is an amazing guy. We really loved our stay there and definitely recommend it.

I am really pleased that you found it well furnished. In my role as owner/manager, I invested significant time there last year redecorating, improving the furnishings and making homely touches. For example the newly fitted 80% dark grey wool carpets and coordinating black out curtains in bedrooms, larger dining table and chairs which sit 6 in comfort, the nice soft furnishes (cushions, throws, curtains in bedrooms) and the nice art work on the walls, nice candles. and framed pictures.
It is great to hear that you found our place warm during the coldest weather we have seen on a long time (during the Siberian "beast from the east" spell of sub zero temperatures and high winds!) and also spacious.
The open plan nature of the well proportioned kitchen/dining/living space offers an amazing space to cook, dine, socialise and relax in a comfortable laid back setting.

Brilliant place to stay!
Absolutely perfect place to stay whilst visiting Aberdeen. The location is ideal & the accommodation is comfortable, clean & modern & has a ‘home from home’ feel. Colin was excellent at responding to any queries & I would recommend this place wholeheartedly to anyone.

Great place to stay for a break in Aberdeen. The owner was particularly helpful and flexible with organising the booking and answering all our questions. The house rules document made everything very clear about getting in and where everything was. Plenty of utilities including a hair drier which saves on baggage space. Apartment is centrally located, clean and spacious. Would definitely book again!! Thanks for a great stay.

Great place to stay in Aberdeen
Fantastic place to stay in Aberdeen, close to transport and shops. Very clean, great beds and shower would highly recommend. Owner is very helpful and there for whatever you need A++

We consistently get positive comments about the cleanliness and I will pass yours onto my cleaner.
All beds in all of our properties have brand new Silentnight memory foam mattresses with mattress protectors always fitted. Many people saying it is the best nights sleep they have ever had.
The shower is a mains fed (direct from the combi boiler - immediate hot water) power shower with good quality shower valve and I agree it is a great shower.

Less than ten minutes walk to West end of Union Street (main shopping street). The apartment is also brilliantly located for bus links into town and to the airport. Buses run very regularly from both Great Western Road and Union Grove which are only a few mins walk away to take you to the far end of union street/bus and train station. Alternatively if you fancy a stroll these are only about a 15-20 min walk. One dedicated free parking space but can also fit one other car in front of it and not impede anyone else (see photo).
Situated centrally in the west end but in a really safe and quiet street with ample car parking. The bedrooms do not back onto a road which makes for a great nights sleep. The apartment is close enough for city based shops and offices and also for a busier night out in the city centre or for the many excellent more upmarket restaurants and bars of the west end. Also cool inde shops and cafes on our street (Claremont St - Long Dog Cafe, great if you are dog lovers and premium luxury retailer, Curated Stories, Aberdeens premium luxury retailer - my daughter is addicted to the place!) and St Swithins Street (Cafe Cognito, Coppa) are just round the corner. There are ample amenities nearby, a great wee corner shop "The Grove" stocking a good range of local fresh produce, and a pharmacy on Union Grove; 2-3 mins walk away. A Sainsburys mini market, award winning Ashvale fish and chip take away/restaurant, and many shops, restaurants etc are a similar distance away on Holburn Street. There is a handy "Spar" mini market shop a few minutes walk away on St Swithins street also. I will do my best to make guests feel at home and provide as much information as I can on the area as they wish gained from the 15 years since Aberdeen has been home. Would also recommend the amazing New Orleans styled "Maggies Grill" Aberdeen's first and original soul food neighbourhood chow down eatery; they do a great breakfast and indeed any meal of the day and is only a 10 minute walk away!!
