The full London experience!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I brought our 2 daughters to London for a first-time visit. We are really culture junkies when it comes to all things British and this place was the icing on the cake for being able to live and breathe it all. From the Millenium Bridge (think the opening scene of Harry Potter ) to Fleet Street and singing Sweeny Todd songs to Baker Street looking for clues of Sherlock, we really had a great time. The city is lively, the accents charming and it was the little things that got us all giddy, like seeing cars driving on the other side of the road and the famous double decker buses we had dreamed of riding for so long. Would defintiely recommend for any family holiday. The apartment and neighborhood were safe and clean, the food was great (fish n’chips and mushy peas !) and the whole experience was exactly what we were looking for.

Amazing property, perfect location, clean and spacious

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of four with 2 teenage boys and this property was perfect for us. There was plenty of room for all of us and the property was clean and in great part of town. Since our boys are older (and bigger) it was great that there was the foldout couch for one of them to move to. There were 2 great little sandwich/coffee shops right around the corner and a market with everything you'd need just a block down. There was also a great little pub next door. This was a very busy and bustling part of town yet the apartment was somehow very quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again in the future.

Absolutely Recommend

  • 5 of 5

Overall a great experience for us. There's an independent pub next door (the George Public House) which brings pluses and minuses: good beer/food and potential noise on Fri/Sat night if you have the windows open. Other than that, very quiet. The flat looks like the photos, has a nice layout and is clean and tidy. Easy checkin/checkout, prompt refund of the deposit after departure and easy communication.

Great location and flat, can't say the same for the service on location.

  • 3 of 5

We are back from a lovely week in London, we absolutely enjoyed the flat location we rented: a short walk and we were either at the metro station or at the attractions we wanted to visit; an Express Tesco (groceries) that has all the basics is at only 2 minutes walk, coffee shops, Pret à Manger, (nice quality fast-food) , restaurants, etc.... and the quality of the flat itself is great: it is vast, clean, has high ceiling, lots of light, no noise, 2 rooms with nice beddings, 2 full bathrooms plus 1 toilet; but, unlike the add mentioned, it had only one sofa seating 2 persons in the living room, no armchairs (which were described as part of the furniture), so we were 4 adults, 2 had to spend their relax/apero time on the kitchen chairs, and not even one cushion in all the flat. Then, minor irritants but that would have been SO easy to fix, and weren't attended at all during a whole week, and this is where we are unhappy, it is about the service at the rental: when we contacted the person (first morning) in charge of our stay to mention the coffee machine lacked the lid to drip the coffee (so we had to hold the button for the coffee to drip inside the cup otherwise it would splash allover the place) he answered the next day, saying to look in the drawers (of course, we never thought of doing so, uhhh...) so all the communication took days and I guess he gave up on us because we got no more answer from him after we sent a picture of the coffee machine he asked for. There was no hair dryer when there was supposed to have one, only the box and the fittings. We asked for one more set of keys, the answer was no, sorry, only one set of keys for the flat. The kitchen "basics" were: salt and pepper. Period. No oil, no herbs or spices, no linen to dry the dishes or clean the counter, there was only one piece of clothing for the purpose of cleaning drying etc. no facecloth either, so we bought some. So, all in all, the flat is a great one, but it could use a bit of love, service, and some more stuff in the kitchen cupboards. Just be prepared to buy a little extra stuff for your stay, and check if they have added the furniture to make it comfy, and hopefully you will get a better service than what we had. I contacted the central management who answered they will act on it, at least it is what they said to me. I usually don't comment negatively here unless it's important, but here the effort would have gave them a 5 stars, no doubt.

Owner's Response: Dear Annie, thank you very much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and thorough review reading your recent stay with us in London. We are pleased to know you enjoyed the fantastic location of the apartment and that you were able to have a lovely time in the city overall. We are sorry to hear were let down by other aspects of your stay. We appreciate your thoughts regarding the furniture and have passed on your suggestions to the apartment owner to see how we can spruce it up a little and make it feel more welcoming, although we believe the flat layout and furniture are accurately depicted in the listing photos. We apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay trying to get in touch with us. We provide several contact numbers for our guests so you may always reach someone during their stay. We have implemented some procedures to ensure that guest requests are tended to in a more timely manner. fortunately, we have limited sets of keys at this time so we can provide you with 1 set maximum. A set must be kept by us in case of an emergency or if guests lock themselves out, for example. We would like to excuse that the hairdryer had gone missing, with a quick phone call we could have easily replaced it. We have now purchased a new one, so the next time you visit for work or pleasure you will be able to use it. We would like to point out that we do not promise to provide coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, etc, and we are sorry if you were under the impression that you would find these in the flat on arrival. These are all items which we do not typically provide as everyone has different tastes and expectations regarding these items, and in the past, guests have not been pleased to find half-used salt containers and other items in the flat, so we feel it is better to leave them out. There is, of course, a grocery store very close by where you can purchase all of these items to your liking. Annie, thank you once again for your constructive feedback. We do hope you'll give us a second chance to host you in the future so you may see the improvements we have made and benefit from a special discount for returning guest. We wish you all the best until then.

Great family friendly place in the heart of London

  • 5 of 5

This 2 bedroom was perfect for our family of four. There was enough space, breakfasts were easy in the kitchen, and there was a washer/dryer combo so we could do some laundry. We were in the center of London, so could easily walk to places we wanted to see or catch buses or the tube within a very short walk. Highly recommend.

Great location, nice apartment, good host

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Covent Garden. It was comfortable, well furnished, clean, comfortable, and close to many good and interesting places, including public transportation, a Tesco supermarket, and various attractions.

You do need to be prepared to purchase some living sundries, if your stay is a little extended. The apartment does not offer some of the standard supplies like salt/pepper, coffee, paper towels, etc. But, there is Tesco a stone's throw away to stock up as needed.

Overall, a good experience in a good location with a good host.
