One bedroom apartment with original vaulted ceilings and full length windows.

This cosy romantic and immaculate beach apartment is located in the spectacular Georgian Royal Sea Bathing Hospital development. It has its own underground car parking, electronic gates and is set within beautiful landscaped grounds. It is light and airy and comes with wood flooring, fitted modern kitchen (with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave), granite worktops and the original vaulted ceilings throughout. The bathroom has a bath, shower, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.

The apartment is on the first floor and the open lounge/ kitchen diner boasts floor to ceiling windows overlooking the palms in the meticulously kept gardens. Enjoy a glass of wine in such a romantic setting at night.

The lounge is designed for comfort and has two sofas and a freeview TV. There is a TV in the bedroom. The lounge TV is large (46 inch) with Satellite and a wide range of channels. There is also bluetooth sound to play music from your phone. One of the large sofa converts into an extremely comfortable full size double bed. Free broadband WiFi.

There are restaurants, take away and several shops for groceries staying open late at night directly opposite the development.

Resorts close by: The sea bathing development is located just 10 minute walk (by the sea) from the Turner Gallery and 8 minutes from the vast array of family amusements and arcades of Margate and shops. There are a number of other resorts close by - Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Herne Bay, Whitstable and interesting Historic Deal. There are numerous resorts to explore and enjoy. You can park your car in the underground gated development in the knowledge that it is safe and secure and you can walk to all the facilities of Margate (there are 24/7 security guards in their own little house located at the entrance). No worries about drinking and driving. A number of restaurants/ bars are a walk away and if you want a take away you are spoilt for choice just metres away. All this hub of activity yet the apartment is located in a romantic quite setting. Moreover, the golden sandy beaches have all the facilities for children you could ask for. There area number of beach activities actually on the beach in Margate. The crazy golf is located at the back of the development. Beach chairs, buckets and spades, flask etc are provided in the apartment.

Other attractions: Experience Canterbury's history and heritage, see the stunning architecture and world famous buildings. Enjoy a day out in Canterbury and visit the magnificent Cathedral. It is about a 25 minute drive. Canterbury is also the home of Kent County Cricket.

Other attractions include: Spitfire and Hurricane Museum ( Ramsgate), The Hornby Visitor Centre ( Westwood), Dickens House (Broadstairs), Warmer Catle at Warmer, Swimming lessons for children at DW sports at Westwood Cross, Dover Castle at Dover, Day trips to France from Dover.

Deal is a 20 minute drive. It is interesting to walk through this Historic town and walk explore the pier. It is unspoilt and it feels like going back in time.

A pack with all the brochures to all the various attractions is provided in the apartment (as well as beach chairs, buckets and spades, flask etc).

Local Buses/ Coaches: The bus stop is located just outside the Royal Seabathing. The bus serves local resorts and the local Westwood Cross shopping centre. Visitors without a car can travel by train (Margate Station is an 7 minute walk) and bus to local resorts. National Express coach stop with coaches going to London Victoria coach station is just a 10 minute walk from the apartment (tickets can be obtained from the tourist office situated beside the Turner). Family tickets are good value for money.

The apartment is a home away from home with alarm clock, hairdryer, radio, iron, ironing board, travel cot, highchair, changing mat etc.

What makes this apartment unique

It will be a totally unique experience staying in this splendid historical Grade 11 listed property beside the sea with all the benefits of secure parking and 24 hour helpful security guards.. The vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows (overlooking the lanscaped grounds) make the apartment light and air. A real pleasure to come back to after a day out.

We had a lovely holiday exploring Margate and the surrounding areas. The apartment was excellent- clean, tidy, spacious and well decorated (love the seaside stuff!). The location of the apartment is great, just a short walk from the beach and lots of shops. The underground parking is also a bonus. We also found everything we needed in the apartment- tea, coffee, plastic bags, cooking things etc. which is handy and saved the hassle and money of having to buy the extra things!

The weather has been extremely kind to us this week - glorious sunshine throughout. We recommend taking a look around Margate Old Town with its museum full of local history and also the Shell Grotto. Trips to Ramsgate , Broadstairs and Dover were also enjoyable. The folder of leaflets was very handy in finding places to go . Thank you.

  • The bedroom has an extremely comfortable firm king size bed with small dressing table, bedside tables, lamps, clock and a fitted wardrobe (plenty of hangers). There is a floor to ceiling window overlooking the landscaped grounds and chairs to accommodate suitcases. It is very quiet at night, so after the sea air you can be guaranteed a good nights sleep. Bedding, linens towels and tea towels are included in the price (don't forget to bring your beach towels though). There is a travel cot and changing mat in the bedroom and highchair in the lounge.

The Sea Bathing Hospital backs onto miles of golden sandy safe beaches and is just an 8 minute walk to the vast parade of amusements in Margate. This makes for an ideal family holiday location.The beaches are really safe and there are rocks for children to explore (beach chairs, buckets and spades are in the apartment). Cafe facilities on the beach (though it is almost as quick to take a drink from the apartment- flask provided). The setting is also perfect for romantic break. The new magnificent Turner Gallery is just 10 minute walk by the sea. And there are plenty of shops for Mum either in Margate or a drive away to at the outdoor Westwood Cross Shopping Centre. A Cinema and other facilities are located at Westwood Cross. Free WiFi and secure parking is included in the price. There is also 24 hour security.

Lovely apartment, really well equipped and excellent location

We were given all the necessary information and more, prior to our arrival. The secure car parking was really useful - so handy for the days when we just wanted to wander along the seafront & into the town. The apartment was comfortable, clean & well equipped, we were greeted with the essentials - tea,coffee milk (& biscuits!). The apartment was really spacious which was a pleasant change from many that we have stayed in before. There are really good takeaways opposite, the Indian being a lovely restaurant as well.

Margate was a great base for visiting the surrounding area and we easily filled 2 weeks there, we highly recommend this apartment.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful development

We had a great weekend staying here in March. The apartment is lovely and has absolutely everything you could need whilst you're there. It's really conveniently located for anyone who isn't driving, as we weren't. Everything you need (including the train station) is a short walk away. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The flat is delightful with everything you could need. We were well looked after by Chris who let us in and showed us around. He even carried our bags from the car in the underground parking garage. There was milk and orange juice in the fridge and plenty of tea and coffee in the cupboard. Chris kindly handed us a packet of hobnobs.

The gated development is attractive and peaceful. Because of on going developments you cannot get to the beach from the sea facing side. Nevertheless It is very handy for the fantastic beach and tidal pool and of course the railway station and Dreamland? A lot of Margate has seen better days but there are signs of revival. The old town in particular is quirky and fun. The Turner gallery is a must. Also do not forget the gloriously restored Walpole Bay hotel for a cream tea is just a few miles away.

The location was excellent. We had travelled to Margate to attend the annual Margate Soul Festival. In a way I hope that not too many soul revellers read this review otherwise next year, there will be no space for us. It took just over 10 minutes walk along the seafront or the main road to get into central Margate. It certainly was a 'home from home'. Every small detail had been addressed, even down to the availability of sandwich bags, kitchen towel and dishwasher tablets. The entire apartment was very clean - (apart from the insect in the fridge and a few grains of food left in the microwave). The security was excellent. I always worry about leaving valuables when I travel but there was absolutely no need for any concern. All the linen and towels were obviously top quality, including the furniture. Tesco was genuinely 1 minute away and the local newsagent and takeaway places were across the road. I cannot fault anything about the apartment or the service. I would definitely recommend it to friends and relatives as long as they are not planning to go when I want to go. This kind of place is a hidden gem!

Lovely apartment in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous Margate apartment. The key exchange was simple and the apartment had everything we needed. Elaine was very quick to respond to queries and did everything she could to ensure we had what we needed before we arrived. The apartment was a very restful place and we instantly felt at home there. It was very clean and well equipped with lots of information on local attractions and eateries too which was helpful. Our 3 year old was very happy with the toys and DVDs he found. The Royal Seabathing Hospital complex was a great place to stay in terms of location and the 24 hour security and allocated parking were an added bonus. The only negative points were the over sensitive smoke alarm in the kitchen (it went off twice when we used the toaster but we didn't burn it...perhaps relocate the toaster?) & the lack of recycling on site.

Location wise, we really liked this side of town as it was very close to the gorgeous Margate beaches and all the other attractions were very easy to walk to. If we return to Margate we'd definitely stay at Elaine's apartment again.

Just a seven minute walk from Margate station and a ten minute walk from the new Turner Gallery. Enjoy the cultural experience - visit the many galleries. The apartment backs onto miles of sandy beaches and is ideal for a romantic break or a family beach holiday. The surrounding area has golf, crazy golf, restaurants, bars, shops and cycling lanes. Westwood Cross shopping centre is a ten minute away by car or bus. Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Sandwich (golf Open) and are close by.

The Royal Sea Bathing Hospital was opened in 1791 when it was believed that the sea bathing and sea air were the best cures for tuberculosis. Patients in their beds were pushed from their wards into the fresh air.
