Ladbroke Grove is an exciting, vibrant area of London, with many open spaces, beautiful houses and good transport links into Central London. The famous Portobello market is a 10 minute walk. The Market is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (although there are significantly less stalls on Sundays), where you can sample delicious street food or explore the antique, bric-a-brac, vintage clothes, books, posters, jewellery, art and music stalls.
Right next door is Golborne Road with its own quirky ambiance; an eclectic mix of international food stalls and restaurants from everyday cafes to upscale cuisine, second-hand and vintage wares, architectural antiques, niche designer and vintage fashion boutiques.
During the week the market offers mainly fruit, vegetables, takeaway food, and household goods. On Friday and Saturday the market comes alive with a busy second hand and bric-a-brac section.
Westfield shopping centre is just 13 minutes away by tube.
For families there are many parks nearby; Kensington Memorial Park with a super water park and great sand pit and play area, Little Wormwood Scrubs and Wormwood Scrubs as well as Queens Park with a small swimming pool, petting zoo and large green open space.
A short bus ride away is Regent's Park (home to London Zoo), Hyde Park and Holland park. There are all sorts of open squares and little playgrounds to explore.
