Beautiful grade 2 listed apartment in a very tranquil location,12 miles from centre of London, close to Heathrow airport, minutes from Ham House ,Richmond park, Ham Common and Petersham Nurseries. The property comprises of a large elegant living room with fireplace and dining area ( seats 8), bedroom with double bed and ensuite toilet, kitchen, Bathroom with Claw foot bath and rain shower, and a second living room/ bedroom with a sofa bed and a pretty 20 squared foot courtyard walled garden.
The property is family and pet friendly ( house trained with responsible owners😊😊) with loads of lovely walks on your doorstep, there is also a pet sitter close by should you want to leave your pet for the day.
There is a TV, DVD, Apple TV, Netflix..a stereo system, a dock for your iPod, an Apple computer, and unlimited WiFi.
Also free landline national and local calls. ( no premium numbers or mobiles )
The apartment is within a short walking distance of Ham and Richmond for local shops, restaurants, pubs and station, with trains to London Waterloo. Bus stop within a 150 yards with numerous buses to Richmond, which has great shops, theatres, cinemas, riverside restaurants and bars, as well as the underground and trains to Central London ( 15 minutes fast train), Ascot, Windsor and Eton. Buses also go to Twickenham, Heathrow and Hampton Court. Ferry service across the Thames during the summer months to Twickenham. Short walking distance to Ham House, Petersham Nurseries,Michelin Stared Petersham Cafe, Ham Polo Grounds and Richmond Park or walk along the tow-path to both Richmond and Twickenham. Also, nearby are Kew Gardens, Bushey Park, Twickenham Rugby Ground, Syon House and Hampton Court Palace. Distance to Central london is 10 miles (15 mins on fast train from Richmond Station )and Wimbledon Village ( Wimbeldon Tennis ) 6 miles

Pets: We will allow one larger or two small well behaved dogs, however this will incur any extra charge of £50 and we ask that you clean up after your dog in the garden.
Cleaning: We ask that you leave the apartment clean and tidy on departure, however, if left in an unacceptable state this will incur an extra cleaning charge which will stopped out of the security deposit. End of tenency cleaning is included in the rent ,If you wish for an additional clean this will be charged at £10 per hour
I fell in love Southlodge. It is so full of character and history I loved the high ceilings and large windows, also the privacy of the courtyard garden. I lived here for 5 years and couldn't bear to sell it when I had to move. It is my vacation home also and I try to visit at least 4 times a year
Beautifully furnished with high end furniture and fittings. White company bedding, Apple computer and TV. Fluffy white towels and robes. Fresh flowers and a bottle of wine free with every stay. A real home away from home
We really enjoyed our week at 1A Southlodge.
We were met on time by the owner’s representative and welcomed into a very clean apartment full of fresh flowers and a bottle of wine!
Our main aim was to relax for a week and we were able to do that within quiet and peaceful surroundings with the added bonus of the small garden area perfect for a late afternoon drink.
We used the bus stop to Richmond or Kingston (2 minutes away) to go shopping a couple of times even though we had our car. Car parking is on the road but there was always space at all times of day.
We found the apartment ideal for visiting the historic Ham House (short walk) and Hampton Court Palace (short drive) as well as Petersham Nurseries (short walk) and of course, Richmond Park.
The computer/internet access was extremely useful in planning our days out and finding the best coffee shops!!
We were very pleased, overall, with our choice of what is really a country location with good access to surrounding amenities and also central London via train. In addition our deposit was returned within a week of our return home.

A well-located ground floor flat located near the twenty-four hour 65 bus to Richmond. Well-equipped for eating at home with guests. The landlord is responsive and helpful. A real pleasure to stay here.
We have just come back from a week here. The apartment was excellent. It had everything needed and was in a great location. We are already looking forward to our next trip!
This well-appointed property offers excellent accommodation, just off Ham Common. A sophisticated decor scheme and thoughtful provision of everyday necessities mean that everything is ready to go on arrival. The secure and fragrant court-yard garden offers a welcome extra space for snatching some late rays when they occasionally come along! The location is good, especially the access to the river and Richmond Park. A bus takes you in to Richmond in about 10-15 minutes (though sometimes crowded). Having a car would be an asset, with plenty of off-street parking. Particularly welcome is the no-nonsense, unfussy approach to key collection and departure etc., and the genuinely welcoming feel. While the decor is very high specification in general, the cupboard opening arrangement in the en-suite is a little unsatisfactory, with bi-fold door off its hinge and easy to trap one's fingers when doing the laundry. The internet was also very patchy when we were there. Without these two things, irritants rather than disappointments, a five-star rating would be appropriate. Finally, the lovely flowers as a welcoming bouquet were splendid.
Our stay at the Garden Flat was wonderful! The owner and manager were extremely helpful and responsive to any requests, questions and concerns that we had and the kitchen is adequately equipped. When we arrived there were a couple of minor things that needed to be taken care of and they were, within 24 hours. The flat is clean, beautifully decorated and with a sense of fun too! For us, the outstanding feature was the proximity of the flat to the local shops, bus route (only 10 minutes to Kingston or Richmond), beautiful Ham Common, Richmond Park and the River Thames...and I could go on! It really is a walker's paradise with easy access into London when you want it. The biggest disappointment to us was the second bedroom. There is really no closet space in the main bedroom but lots in the second bedroom which doubles as a sun-room/office. We were hoping to have friends and relatives come to stay but found the layout a bit awkward for that. On the whole though we would absolutely recommend a stay here!
The apartment is situated wonderfully right next to Richmond park. It has everything ones heart desires. Very beautifully furnished and clean. The owner is a very courteous host. We had a wonderful stay and will come back again.
Everything was wonderful with the apartment. We were very pleased to have been personally greeted and shown the workings of the apartment which was enormously helpful as things like underfloor heating and heated towel racks may have gone unnoticed. the owner was kind enough to have provided flowers, wine and all the makings for a cup of tea (which was in our hands within 10 minutes of arrival). As our visit was early Spring, the daffodils came into full bloom and the garden came alive - it was extremely cold outside so we had time to enjoy the apartment sitting by the fire and looking out to the garden - very peaceful. We traveled with two older ladies (over 80) who were very comfortable and we found the convenience of the location excellent with buses and a pub on the corner. The owner has taken great care in the decor and comfort of this apartment and I would highly recommend it as a romantic get-away.
Mainline train services from Richmond and Kingston go into Central London, Kew, Wimbledon, Windsor and the South Coast.

We are just over a mile from Richmond upon Thames (a 25 minute walk down the Thames tow path ( 10 minute bus journey)
The River Thames runs through the heart of the borough for 21 miles linking Hampton Court Palace, Richmond town centre and Kew Gardens with central London. It has beautiful Royal parks and historic houses, theatres, museums and galleries rich with exhibits and town centres bursting with shops and restaurants, the borough rivals anywhere in London.
Great shopping in historic market town of Kingston: We are also 2 kilometres from the historic market town of Kingston upon Thames with its excellent shopping centre and rich variety of attractions on its doorstep including two Royal Parks (Richmond and Bushy) and numerous historic houses and gardens. There are also three theme parks, Chessington World of Adventures, Thorpe Park and Legoland within less than an hour’s drive. Kingston has almost three miles of one of the most attractive stretches of the River Thames. There are pubs and restaurants along the riverside, boat trips during the summer months and a wide variety of craft for hire. There are walks and cycle routes to Hampton Court, Teddington and Richmond along some of the most picturesque stretches of the Thames.
