Access to large garden - Parking space for 1 car on the driveway (there is also pay and display parking available on the street) Transport: We are roughly equal distance between East Putney and Southfields tube stations, both a 10-15 minute walk away on the District Line. Location: The house is set in a very leafy part of South London but with easy access into central London. There are local parks with playground facilities a few minutes walk away and Southside shopping centre is a 10 minute walk. There are several local gastropubs which are a few minutes walk away. Very nice place to stay close to downtown London.
The owners were so nice and helpful. The bus and tube are close
A lovely stay
We have visited London on numerous occasions, and stayed at a variety of places (including many self-catering flats), and I can honestly say this was the best of the bunch. Very spacious (especially for London), well-equipped, and comfortable, in a lovely location. Sadly we didn't get to meet Peter and Annie as they were away, but were met by their daughter Katie who was very nice and showed us around the flat. Looking forward to coming back one day!
A real gem! The perfect place to stay
- Loved the spaciousness of the flat and garden
- Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed
- Very responsive, welcoming hosts
- Location not too near the tube but the quiet, safe neighbourhood made up for that
Loved the property and the location!
This apartment was perfect for out trip. Lots of space in the apartment for our family, the garden was beautiful. It was the perfect location to sight-see in London with the stations close by. We will definitely be coming back to stay again!
Home away from home
My family and I had a lovely stay in Peter and Annie's lower floor apartment. It was very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our own breakfasts and dinners. We usually had lunch out in the city while sightseeing. It was nice having two bathrooms for the four of us. Everyone had their own space. Peter was away working so Annie helped us out when we had questions and was always available when we needed her. We would definitely stay here again.
The house is a 5 minute walk from Bus 39 stop that you can take to Southfields Station (District Line) which goes straight into London. You can also catch the 39 going .to Clapham Junction and catch the train there into the city.
Buy an Oyster Card as soon as you can. This will enable you to ride trains, buses, and tubes for a selected number of days.
Fantastic and cozy apartment!
Annie and Peter's apartment in the charming and quiet Wandsworth was perfect for our family! With a large master suite, a small bedroom and additional bathroom, a well-stocked and well-laid-out kitchen, and a spacious living room, it was the perfect spot for our trip to London. Access to the Tube at Southfields (10 minute walk, 30 mins or so to Victoria Station) and to the bus at The Park Tavern (5 minute walk) made getting around easy, and there is a Londis (near the bus) or an M&S (near the Tube) for your grocery needs. We know where we will be staying on our next visit to London!
