About this property

Beautiful secluded Wye Valley converted barn, in woodlands

Stone built converted barn in glorious seclusion on the owner's rare breed farm in the Wye Valley. Recently extended and having three good size bedrooms (one double with en suite, one twin and one with a double and single bed), bathroom with WC, bidet, whb and bath, light and open living room, dining room and modern fitted kitchen. The barn is all on the ground floor (there is a mezzanine which is retained by the owner for storage). Flagstone patio surround, and fronting woodland, approached along a farm track but close to all amenities, and good for accessing all of the visitor attractions of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.

Peace and quiet
We loved this rural setting away from the hustle of life. You can easily access the Forest of Dean and South Wales from here as you are minutes away from the A40 so this is a great location for exploring. All the bedrooms are downstairs which wasn’t clear in the listing but this was perfect for our less mobile member of the family. We will definitely be back as we all enjoyed our week away!

Lovely!!
Peaceful and secluded but only a short drive to a range of things to do, a supermarket and places to eat.

Mini break with friends
What a lovely little barn. Such a nice quiet location and surrounding woodland to take the dogs ans kids adventuring into. It was very well situated to access the wye canoeing and go ape as well as not far from some supermarkets to gather supplies. Everything you need was found in the house although the addition of some board games would have been great. Lovely few days. Just what was needed to finish off the summer holidays. Thanks

About the host

Host profile image
My husband Geoffrey bought Trebandy Farm in 1989 and have since then refurbished and converted all of the buildings on the farm, have planted woods and hedges, dredged the lakes, and have installed a water wheel that generates electricity for the houses in the winter. We are fortunate to be the custodians of such a beautiful place.

Why they chose this property

It is a uniquely beautiful place, home to delightful highland cows and hebridean sheep and a large and varied selection of wild animals and birds as well. I fell in love with it when I first saw it, and I hope you will too.

What makes this property unique

Beautiful and comfortable buildings in a uniquely beautiful setting.
