There is also a wood burning stove in the lounge (all logs supplied at no extra cost). We also have a garaged car space available nearby for an additional cost and if pre-booked with us. The flat is 5 minutes walk to the heart of the City Centre; George Street, Princes Street, a 10 minute walk from Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town, and 12 minutes walk from the main railway station, Waverley Station as well as from the tram and bus networks which gives access to the airport. The flat is also 5 minutes walk to Stockbridge & Broughton Street, two of Edinburgh's most vibrant suburbs. The flat is therefore well served by quality restaurants, coffee shops, bars and supermarkets (Tesco Metro and Sainsbury's Local at the end of the street) as well as being handy for all the major tourist attractions.

About Scott Gibson
My wife and I have lived in Edinburgh for over 30 years now. We have 6 teenage/twenty something children and have lived in our Town House in Northumberland Street for almost 7 years now. Most of the 'children' have now left home and so we decided to convert the Garden Flat into a completely self contained flat suitable for holiday/business lets. It is stunning and is the sort of place that we would want to rent if we were visiting a capital city ourselves. We would like to think we have thought of most things which will help make your stay comfortable and special. We even have an available garaged car space nearby for an additional charge if you wish to take your car with you.

The property is quite unique for the letting market in Edinburgh in that it also has it's own private and self contained garden as well as a garaged car space nearby (for an extra charge). This architect designed garden, which has also recently been developed is accessed directly from the kitchen/dining/living areas via large glazed double doors onto a stone patio area. Outside tables and chairs as well as bench seating are provided for guest use as is a gas BBQ (gas supplied). The garden is lit too so can be used in the evenings. While we do not condone nor encourage or even allow smoking in the property, smokers are welcome to use the front or back garden areas.

Stunning Edinburgh Garden Flat!
We absolutely loved this gorgeous garden flat. Beautiful decor and well appointed throughout with great outdoor space.
Good location just 5 mins walk from George Street shops and bars, plus Sainsbury’s and Tesco locals close to Northumberland Street where flat is located.
Great communication from the owners throughout booking and our stay, and really helpful with ideas for restaurants and bars.
Wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll definitely be back, perhaps in Summer to get full benefit of lovely garden area.

Beautiful Flat in a prime location
What a wonderful experience! Scott could not have been a better host. We felt very at home in the Flat and couldn’t have asked for a better location. The place has all modern appointments and a cozy home feel. A short walk to all the sights and plenty of bars/restaurants with a neighborhood feel. I would recommend to anyone staying in Edinburgh.
Spacius beutiful flat with an amazing closed garden and great location.
We, 2 senior couples, enjoyed staying in this well equipped and spacius flat for a week.If the weather had been a tiny bit warmer and dryer we had used this dream
garden a lot more, it´s amazing! The location was perfect for us, bus stops
at both ends of the short street - and the buses frequent and easy to use.
We went to the E.Casle, shopped on Prinsess Str. and nearby streets, visited old Pubs and restaurants f.ex. Fazenda, which we loved. Walked along river Leith and more and more. And a bus tour to Fife, small sea villages, St Andrews and Falkland was a treat. All in all, we will be back!

Wonderful city centre garden getaway!
My wife, 2yr old son and I came down from Aberdeen for a weekend away with our son. We know Edinburgh well and have previously used AirBnb before so it wasn't much of a leap of faith to take up Scott's hospitality for the weekend.
The flat itself is stunning. Accessed by it's own door it's perfectly private and we found it ideal for our boisterous wee boy having a completely secure garden/sitting out area for him to play.
All of the fittings are brand new and there wasn't a single thing we could say was missing. Even when my wife realised that she fogot to bring a hand blender for the ingredients of the smoothie she wanted to make, Scott came to rescue with a brand new boxed smoothie maker that he had elsewhere. Ideal!
The flat's proximity to George St and Princes St was perfect for us as it was no more than 10 mins, toddler in tow, to get to the shops and restaurants the centre has to offer. It was also particularly handy that there is a small Sainsbury's not 100yds from the flat's front door as well as a multitude of other speciality shops and eateries.
Another handy element was that at the weekends parking is free in the street and spaces are available. We arrived on the Friday while restrictions were still in place so ended up parking outside the flat to decant our weekend's cases and then I moved the car a whole 50yds further down the street to the metered spaces. I only needed to pay a few pounds for a couple of hours and after that the restrictions were lifted anyway.
Scott was a hugely accommodating host who had considered the needs of his guests beforehand so there really was nothing lacking.
We would thoroughly recommend, and have done to many already, this garden flat and will certainly use it again.

Wonderful place to stay!
Absolutely loved this garden flat! Very well equipped with a sonos system, heated bathroom floors, heated towel racks, Miele appliances - very high end finishes. Really loved the private garden - what a treat. The whole flat was super comfortable and chic. It was a retreat from the city even though we were in the heart of it all. Major tourist attractions are a 10-15 minute walk or a 5 pound taxi away. Nearby restaurants and neighborhoods are an extra treat aside from those traditional tourist activities. Be sure to check out the Stockbridge area for a local flavor. The local pub made us feel like locals. Host was very accessible for any questions we had and provided all the info we needed on a timely basis. We wish we could have stayed longer, and can’t wait to come back again!
Great flat, close to castle
Rented the flat for a month. It was a perfect place for the family (2 adults, 1 child). Location was incredible, very close to the castle and all Edinburgh has to offer. The flat has been recently remodeled and is fully outfitted and very comfortable. The outside garden space is also very nice and provides a good extension to the living space. Pictures on the listing are accurate. Location is quiet, yet convenient to parks, restaurants, shopping, and grocery. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with. The family was asking when we could come back before we even left. Highly recommended
