The accommodation & living is spacious and bright making a superb private home as well as a popular holiday home. There is superb walking on the doorstep.

Close to Chipping Norton, Banbury, and the renowned Soho Farmhouse! There are several pubs within walking distance, as well as a village shop, post office & famous brewery.

The Barn is situated in a delightful rural position on the edge of the village of Hook Norton with unspoilt views of the surrounding Cotswolds countryside.

We have designed our home for sustainable living while retaining the original character and architectural features: exposed beams, A-frames, high vaulted ceilings, cut stone arched doorways and stone mullion windows. The house is flooded by light with floor to ceiling glass windows; the majority of rooms enjoy dual-aspect views onto the gardens!

Scotland End Barn is an impressively sustainable ‘eco’ property with renewable micro-generation installations now supplying heating, hot water, and electricity!

Guest access

The accommodation is suited to both entertaining and family living with two vaulted reception rooms and a large kitchen/dining room with contemporary bi-folding doors. The impressive master bedroom suite has views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. There are 3 further bedrooms (2 with en-suite shower rooms) and a family bathroom.

The studio with kitchenette, veranda and shower room is located above the recently constructed triple garage, used by the current owners as an office could also be used as additional guest accommodation.

Set within one acre of private gardens with a vegetable/herb garden and raised beds.

A path leads to the Performance Swimming Pool available at extra cost due to heating & maintenance!

Interaction with guests

You will enjoy the privacy of the entire property and gardens behind a private coded gate. We are experienced at letting our home, and will be a phone call or email away. You will have an up-to-date house manual and plenty of suggestions of our favourites things to do.

We are a friendly professional couple who love to share our beautiful home with visitors to the Cotswold/North Oxfordshire. We will always be on hand to make your stay comfortable and fun.

We have spent ten years living here and renting out the house when we go on holiday or spend time in our holiday home in Cornwall. We have now decided to manage the property rentals ourselves.

We are eco friendly without compromising on comforts. We have solar panels supplying electricity and a wood pellet boiler for the heating & hot water.

We have the most wonderful housekeeper, and will leave you with lots of recommendations and tips for you to get the most out of your stay. There is a full and easy to understand manual.

You will receive a welcome pack with treats on arrival.

What makes this barn unique

Fantastic value for a luxurious home with lots of features and personal touches. You will not find a lighter, brighter more spacious country home.

Furnishings and tech are designed for us to enjoy, so they are high spec not basic/cheap. You will sleep so well here with our luxury beds.

We will leave amenities, including starter pack of logs and BBQ gas!

The furnishings are of a high quality, as we live here ourselves for several months of the year!
