Truly A Tiny Peace Of Heaven On Earth Literally Surrounded By The Forest.
About Reginna Wise
I love deep East Texas ! I The sound of the wind in the pine trees, the musty smell of the forest floor, the fresh air, the blooming dogwoods and red bud trees. The wildlife. The hummingbirds. For me, going home is like stepping into a mini vacation everyday - where the hustle and bustle stops and life slows down. I am proud to say that I work for law enforcement as a PD dispatcher. I have 2 beautiful grown daughters who are still the loves of my life. Spend my hours off working in my flowerbeds and vegetable garden, riding my horse or tending to the farm. Exploring new places is one of the great joys of my life. So opening my home up so others can be refreshed and experience exploring the woods is exciting to me. Vacations should satisfy our souls or it just doesn't count as a vacation !!

Why Reginna Wise chose San Augustine
My home has been in my family for over 100 years. I spent every summer her as a child watching my grandparents live off this land. I am blessed to be the 4th generation to own it. My grandfather's original carpentry is proudly displayed with all its rustic warmth and imperfections
What makes this Cabin unique
This property is unique in it's seclusion and peaceful surroundings. The forest is my back and front yard !!

We loved our stay!! We stayed in the cabin over a long weekend to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was cozy, clean and private. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch and wine in the hot tub. Thank you for sharing this gem!
It is what is advertised simply a chance to escape the city and disconnect from it all.
Love the feel of the cabin simply an escape from it all. The rustic ambience of the antique and knickknacks put you back to a simpler time minus the smallpox lol. The worst part of the stay was when you have to leave. Even the drive was relaxing through one small town to the next seeing all the history markets to even stopping at a Place in Douglas county (Uncle Doug's BBQ) for some of the best ribs and fall off the bone smoked chicken and the best peach cobbler this side of the Mississippi. The cabin had the charisma of a politician with out the hang up. The perfect mix of new and old. The cats are a pair in their own very approachable and yet not in your face. Also the smell of the candles that where on the warmers left an aroma of grandmas apple pie. Highly recommend it.
A beautiful, quiet place that felt like home.
Love, loved it perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.
Cozy place for people who love remoteness
We selected this cabin because we were looking for a cozy place with hot tub to enjoy and celebrate our 10th anniversary. We were not disappointed. The cabin was indeed very cozy and had this old school charme. We enjoyed this remote place a lot. No one was to see or to hear, just the two of us. No one was disturbing our hourly long baths in the hot tub. That was especially nice since it was cold and the tub is under the sky. The only ones who visited us were the two very curious cats :-)
Regina was really responsive and send us directions and helpful tips beforehand. We would come again and can definitely recommend this place.
Absolutely perfect!! It was our 45th Anniversary & we usually try to get away somewhere relaxing & love old cabins! The hot tub & firepit out under the tall pines were so relaxing! The cabin was so charming & had everything you needed! Will be back in spring to see all the beautiful plants blooming! Loved it! Thank you for your hospitality!
