We were very pleased with our Holiday the Mobile was very well equipped and very clean. The owners gave very good customer service and were very helpful. We would recommend Chez Momo to our friends and family. The site was suitable for all ages and had very good attractions and restaurant and also had a well stocked shop.
Maurice and Carol were great hosts nothing was too much trouble. Lovely spacious Van but spent much of the time on the hugh decking area and great family camp site. Great value for money
Thanks for a super holiday
We had such a brilliant holiday at Loree Du Bois. The hosts, Maurice and Carol were great and welcomed us on our first night there leaving a bottle of wine which was lovely as the main campsite would not normally do that. It was also lovely not having to check into reception, wait for your key and then for someone else to show you to your location. After such a long drive it was lovely to turn up straight to your new home for the week! The children absolutely loved it and being 11 and 9 are more independent now and made friends and the campsite was small enough for them to be able to go off together and play table tennis/petanque or go down the pool. The campsite was a little loud at night but I think it was the neighbouring campsite rather than our own! Beware of the fireworks from the fairground too as it was so noisy - we were ok once we knew what it was! Overall, an excellent holiday, lovely area, lovely mobile home and lovely hosts! Thank you Maurice and Carol. Ruth, Paul, Toby and Mimi x
Excellent accommodation, cleaned to a high standard and the veranda was very useful to us because we have small twin boys so it was great to contain them!
An extra personal praise and thanks also to the owners for their support when our car broke down and had to be shipped to the UK. We are extremely grateful and it helped smooth things out for us.
The holiday park itself is brilliant, the swimming pool was the highlight for our boys.
The campsite is ideally located for access to the beaches, zoo etc.
This is a wonderful campsite with top class facilities that include waterpark, restaurant, bar, animatitions and laundry. The campsite is located in a peaceful pine forest 4km from the Cote Sauvage, the best beach on the West coast of France. There are many activities for families to participate in locally. These include the Indian Forest next door which has aerial obstacle courses and zip wires in the pine forest. The Palymre Zoo is 6km from the site, Ile d'Oleron 20km North of the site and excellent seafood restaurants throughout the locality. If you wish to go further afield, Bordeaux is 90min and the Medoc a short ferry trip from Royan. We stayed with Chez Momo and the mobiles are large 3 beds with a deck stretching the length of the mobile, half covered. The owners could'nt be more helpful assisting and advising their customers which takes the stress out of any problems that may arise. It's so good we are coming back in 2014! Chez Momo: thanks for a fantastic holiday!
This was our second week of a 2 week holiday in France - we had just spent a week in the Vendee region and had travelled 120 miles further south to this site. Just as we pulled into the site the alternator went on our car leaving our car stranded outside our caravan. Maurice and Carol who own this caravan and are on site every day were so helpful in arranging to take my husband to a local garage to get the car fixed and even offering t take us to the local supermarket to get some provisions - We don't know what we would have done without them. As for the caravan - it is one of 5 that Maurice and Carol rent out and they are so much bigger than the other caravans on the site. I had requested one in a sunny spot and caravan number 222 was certainly that. It was lovely as we had the sun all day, but if you wanted a little shade there was a canopy covering half the veranda if needed. Inside the caravan was very spacious and immaculately clean. The site itself has lots to offer and has a superb pool complex. It was obvious Maurice and Carol were very proud of their caravans and they were on site everyday if you needed them. If I know of anyone thinking of going to France - I will definitely recommend they look at what Maurice and Carol have to offer. The communications when booking the caravan were excellent and a quick response to any question was always received. Maurice and Carol truly are excellent hosts and if you have any problems during your holiday - they are always there to help.
Our 4 star camp-site is situated in a large pine and oak forest and just 4K from the fabulous beaches of the Côte Sauvage, La Palmyre Zoo that is said to be the best privately owned Zoo in Europe is a bike ride away and Royan with lots of shops, you can also hire boats or go out on fishing trips it's just 30 minutes away by car.
There are markets at La Tremblade, Les Mathes, Arvert and La Palmyre all within 5 minutes by car.
Large monthly markets are at Saujon and Saintes a little further away but well worth a visit.
You can bike ride or walk for miles in the forest or on special tracks along the coast, a favorite walk of ours is the old custom officers track from St. Palais to Royan.
