Canal side 3 bedroomed cottage with large garden on edge of Peak District

Self catering cottage on the edge of the Peak Disrict featuring a large, south facing garden with canal frontage (gated access) and country parks to front and rear.

There are 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 plus cot(s). All bedrooms feature handmade, wrought iron beds, 2 of them king size and the 3rd a twin with 2 singles.

You will find a well equipped kitchen with adjoining dining/seating area offering views over the garden and large wood burning stove. There is also a cosy sitting room with flat screen TV, Laura Ashley sofas and wood burning stove.

High speed wifi is available throughout.

The house bathroom has bath, electric shower over, WC, sink and bidet. There is an additional WC on the ground floor.

Outside there is a paved area with excellent quality garden furniture and BBQ.

Two pubs are within an easy 10 minute walk (1 canal side) and if you want to keep walking then the house is located on the 'Staffordshire Way' with lovely walks right from the doorstep.

The antiques and amenities of Leek are a 5 minute drive away

Quiet, comfortable, canal & country rest

We very much enjoyed our stay at Longsdon - the cottage is well equipped and comfortable - the kitchen even has sharp knives! Everything has been thought of. We had an excellent introduction from Nick and took up many of his suggestions.

The view from the patio on a sunny day is lovely and we saw boats go by on the canal. Walks along the canal are easy with well laid paths in either direction & the other canal branch is close by for variety. There are many excellent walks & trails in the surrounding Peak District and we found somewhere to walk or visit each day with no difficulty & even fitted in some Staffordshire oatcakes.

A lovely area which we would be happy to visit again and an excellent property which entirely met our requirements - thanks

A quality property in a peaceful location

An enjoyable week in a comfortable and well appointed cottage. Many walking opportunities nearby and easy access to the Peak District. Canal side pubs and a Weber barbecue at the cottage to make the most of. There is a large supermarket only a 10 minute drive away and more shopping opportunities in nearby Leek. Would recommend for families or group of friends looking to explore the surrounding area.

Very nice property!

We had a wonderful week at this lovely home in Stoke on Trent. The house is situated on a quiet lane fronting the canal. Lots of nice walks and sitting in the sun in the garden. The house is very comfortable and has a very well appointed kitchen. Thank you Nick and Emma!

Our self catering cottage is in a stunning location with the 'Staffordshire Way' walking trail literally at the back door, country parks to front and rear and canal frontage at the bottom of a large, south facing, garden overlooking woods and hills.

Enjoy the tranquillity of the Churnet Valley whilst only 5 minutes drive from the antiques and amenities of Leek.

2 Pubs are within an easy 10 minute walk (1 canal side).

Alton Towers, the UK's largest theme park is only a 20 minute drive as is the rich industrial heritage of the Potteries where you can take factory tours of Moorcroft, Wedgewood and Emma Bridgewater to name a few.

The stunning grit stone ridge of The Roaches is only 10 minutes away and to the east the more intimate limestone of the Manifold Valley and Dovedale are accessible in 25 min.

Chatsworth House is a scenic 45 minute drive over the peaks.
