Our private, well maintained, traditional style villa has its own secluded 8x4m pool and terraces which are exclusively for your use.
The villa sits on a landscaped 900 m² plot overlooking orange groves and mountains. It has a single level living area of 120 m², comprising a main living room (FreeView TV and 300 DVDs), separate dining area (seats 6) which connects to a well equipped kitchen. A large glazed and a smaller open naya overlook the pool, terrace and mountain scenery creating a very light and sunny room equipped with a sofa, wicker dining furniture and an indoor BBQ. Both bedrooms are well proportioned and access a single bathroom. Modern AC/Heating in lounge and bedrooms.
Outside, the pool and terraced areas are fully equipped with loungers, parasols and patio furniture and provide the perfect area for all day sunbathing. More patio furniture is available at the rear of the villa where you can sit quietly in the shade beneath our beautiful pergola, ideal for al-fresco dining and BBQs!
Orba Village: The valley of Orba, from which the village takes its name, has a mild climate, excellent water and is surrounded by orange groves, lemon trees, almonds and of course, olives. The village sits at the head of the valley surrounded by mountains with the Mediterranean sea at the valley foot. The village has all the facilities you are likely to need, 24 h cash points, 24/7 access to a medical centre, large supermarket, bars and restaurants.
An excellent choice of restaurants can be found in Orba and the surrounding villages, with the nearest bar/restaurant being a short stroll from the villa.
Orba has a small weekly market on Wednesday.
Places to Visit: The Costa Blanca is renowned for its white sandy blue flag beaches and several can be reached from the villa within 20 - 45 min drive. Denia is only a short drive away with its lovely old town, castle, harbour, fishing fleet and lots of super shops, not to mention miles of sand and pebble beaches. Boat trips along the coast are available as are ferries to the Balearic Islands. Javea has a famous stretch of beach called the Arenal lined with cafés, restaurants and shops and golden sands. Sandy beaches stretch from Oliva to Gandia and are very quiet and uncommercialised. Another landmark on the coast is the Penon d'Ifach rock which sticks out into the sea at Calpe.
A 50 min drive away are the famous theme parks of Benidorm, including Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, and Aqualandia Water Park and Wild Life Park.
Historic Guadalest and the famous water pools and waterfalls are just 40 min away.
If you are into caves, superb examples exist nearby at Benidoleig and Val De Ebo (Cova Del Rull)
Activities: Golf: There are several Golf Courses in the area most within 15 to 50 minutes drive. Benissa 9 hole course 15 min drive. Denia 18 hole course 25 mins drive. Altea 18 hole course 30 mins drive. Oliva Nova 18 hole course 50 min drive.
Walking/Climbing: Overlooking Denia and Javea is El Montgo mountain which becomes a familiar landmark during your stay and it is possible to walk to the top if you are feeling energetic. There is also the famous mountain spring and walks on the Sierra Bernia 20 min away. The area is very mountainous and offers both easy and very challenging walking/climbing experiences.
Cycling: The area offers road cyclists and mountain bikers a breathtaking mix of peaceful inland countryside and invigorating coastal routes, suitable for anyone, from the die-hard cycling junkie to the normally car-bound.
Paragliding: A 5* paragliding school in Parcent village and paragliding from the mountain (Coll de Rates), only a 10 minute drive from the villa.
We were looking for a beautiful villa in a quiet location with great views. So when we arrived late afternoon in hazy sunshine, we drove off the busy motorway onto a small quiet road towards Orba & found ourselves surrounded by Orange groves & the scent of Orange blossom filling the car. Within 10 minutes we were taking in the view from the front of the villa over the valley & it was absolutely breathtaking! The villa itself is immaculately maintained. There is nothing you could possibly need that Colin has not already provided or can provide for you. It is very much a home from home & has a very welcoming, cosy character that we loved. The gardens that wrap around the house have fruit trees, shrubs & cacti & are just perfect for sitting in having breakfast or reading a book. The pool area is fabulous! Lounging with a Long cold drink topped with fresh lemon picked just a moment before in the garden all with those spectacular views! Perfect! The property itself is around a 10 minute casual stroll from town with the nearest cafe/bar about 7 mins walk away. Our bedding & towels were taken care of weekly by the lovely Gwen who lives close by & was brilliant for tips on the town, restaurants, shops etc. We could not fault our 4 weeks stay here & were so sorry to leave. The property was perfect for us. Colin's attention to detail in & around his home clearly makes this villa worth a 5 star rating. You will find communication with him excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.

La villa est idéale pour les personnes qui souhaitent de la tranquillité et du confort et le village d'Orba à 5mn dispose de toutes les commodités nécessaires pour ne manquer de rien.
Villa est très bien équipée, rien ne manque et elle est gérée par des personnes compétentes et sérieuses.
Nous avons bien profité de la magnifique piscine et apprécié la climatisation !

Sadly we have just returned from the beautiful villa Jean Mary although I’m pleased to say memories of our lovely holiday will stay with us for a long time to come.
From start to finish communication with the owner Colin made the whole experience trouble free and effortless, especially with him being happy to provide information on such matters as flights, car hire and the local area.
The location of the villa is superb, providing wonderful views and tranquillity whilst just a short walk to the village of Orba where a number of bars, restaurants and a supermarket provided all that we needed in the way of supplies and refreshment.
The villa itself is excellent, immaculately clean, tidy and well equipped and we were left wanting for nothing during our stay. As others have commented Gwen and Dave are on hand and they are a lovely couple only too willing to help with any questions you may have about the villa or places of interest to visit. With the use of a hire car the villa is again ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. We enjoyed driving off into the mountains passing through small remote villages whilst at the other end of the scale we also enjoyed visiting the seaside towns of Denia, Calpe and Moraira’s beautiful beach. We loved the villa and the area and know that there is still much to do and explore which is why I am sure we will be contacting Colin again in the not too distant future to hopefully carry on where we left off.

Just returned to the UK after two weeks lovely here. A superb and comfortable villa with lovely pool and great views and fabulous areas to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Wi-Fi a big hit with my daughter and a fabulous choice of films to sit and watch when you fancy a break from the sun.
Nice places to sit inside (the Naya) and outside to enjoy the surroundings with a beer or two!
Above all, this villa is ideally located in this part of the Costa Blanca. Only a short drive to great and plentiful beaches at Denia and lovely drives in the hills nearby. The drive along the Parcent road in the hills to the Fonts D'Algar is a must.
The small town of Orba is easily reached on foot and has recently benefited from the opening of a new Mas y Mas supermarket so no need to drive to the larger towns. There is a short-cut to the town from the villa, avoiding the steep hills people mention in the previous reviews.
Colin, the owner, made the booking process incredibly easy and even contacted us during our stay to ensure that everything was ok. Gwen and Dave who look after the villa, live just across the road and were very friendly and a great source of local information.
Desde el primer contacto todo ha ido sobre ruedas. La respuesta de Colin, tanto en tiempo como en forma ha sido excelente. Una vez acordado los términos, y pagado la estancia, el contacto ha sido continuo hasta el día previo a la llegada. Recibimos todo lujo de detalles desde como llegar, instrucciones de la casa y todas las posibilidades que ofrece el pueblo y sus alrededores, restaurantes, lugares a visitar, curiosidades y eventos locales.
A la llegada la casa estaba impecable y un agasajo de bienvenida nos esperaba en la nevera, cervezas frías vino y algo de comida....qué recibimiento!!! también por las dudas cosas para desayunar al día siguiente. Empezamos bien.
La casa es inclusive mejor que en las fotos, mas amplia y con todo tipo de detalles que hicieron de nuestra estadía un lugar al que sin duda queremos volver. Tiene todo lo que uno pueda imaginar para sentirse realmente en casa, no nos faltó de nada y además Gwen, la ama de llaves fue súper amable en todo momento preocupada por que nuestra estadía fuera del todo satisfactoria, nos comunicó las fiestas del día y los horarios de los supermercados para que no nos faltara de nada....muy atenta!
qué decir de la videoteca.....cientos de pelis con los mejores títulos de la historia, así que si por la noche por casualidad apetecía ver una peli seguro que encontrábamos alguna excelente. Aunque lo mejor era sin duda estar en la piscina mirando las estrellas.
Sobre todo hemos disfrutado de la piscina tanto de día como de noche, tamaño perfecto con vistas inolvidables. Da el sol en la piscina prácticamente todo el día.
Altamente recomendable si lo que quieres es paz y tranquilidad en un entorno único en una casa que te ofrezca todas las comodidades deseables.

Our villa, Casa Jean Mary, is just a 10 min walk from the local village of Orba yet occupies a very quiet location offering unrivalled views over the beautiful Orba Valley across extensive orange groves & scenic mountains. Orba is a small, typical Spanish country village with around 1600 inhabitants. The village & area still retains its local Spanish culture with many Fiestas during the year, featuring a wide variety of events such as street dancing, fireworks, bull running and parades. The costal towns & beaches of Javea, Denia, Moraira & Calpe as well as many award winning golf courses are within a 20 to 30 min drive. Benidorm, with it’s many attractions & theme parks is just 40 min away whilst the mountains around Orba are ideal for walking, cycling, paragliding and scenic drives. A large shopping mall with a cinema and classy shops and cafes is a 10 min drive away. Casa Jean Mary is perfect for either a relaxing or more active holiday, any time of the year.

Oliva Nova Golf, 18 hole golf course right beside the beach. It is a par 72 links course of 6350 m with a slope of 120 the main characteristic of which is that 15 or the 18 holes has a water obstacle!

Located on the slopes of a mountain, the course is not particularly tiring. It lies next to Montgó natural park, and is surrounded by Mediterranean woodland and hills. Pine trees, orange trees, olives and almonds add colour to the course. 18 holes and a par of 72. It is varied and thought provoking, and moderate in length.
The design of the courses means it is suitable for players of all levels, with the difficulty apparent at the tees.

Prices are fully inclusive for reasonable use of gas and electricity, pool service, weekly change of bed linen, hand, bath and beach towels as well as free Internet/Wi-Fi access.
A REFUNDABLE damage Security Deposit of £250.00 is required. The Villa must also be left to a high standard of cleaning prior to departure otherwise additional cleaning services may be deducted from the security deposit.
A PART REFUNDABLE deposit of 30% secures a reservation. The balance and a FULLY REFUNDABLE security deposit of £250 being paid 8 weeks prior to arrival date.
We accept payment in GBP by electronic transfer or Credit Card via PayPal services but PayPal costs are charged to the client as an admin fee.
We also accept payment in Euros at an agreed exchange rate by bank transfer to our Spanish Bank.
