About the property

Bright spacious three bed apartment near the beach and mountains in Algarve

Modern, fully furnished three bedroom apartment. Low rise building (three floors). Sleeps six - eight people.

Master bedroom (14.5 sq m) is en-suite with kingsize bed , fitted wardrobe with mirror doors, and patio doors onto terrace.

The other two bedrooms (11.4 sq m each) have two single beds each.

These bedrooms also have fitted wardrobes.

We have capacity to provide extra beds if needed.

The Main Bathroom has shower over bath, wash basin, toilet and bidet.

Kitchen contains hob (3 gas rings and 1 electric ring), microwave, portable grill, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Huge living/dining area (36.5 sq m ) contains table with 6 chairs, couch ,stereo system and TV(with satellite).

We have just added a full WIFI service for your added convenience.

Lounge opens on to 50 sq m terrace which is furnished with table, 6 chairs, large umbrella, 4 extendable deck chairs with individual mattresses.

What a perfect end to a day on the beach.

Reserved, underground parking space.

Security alarm installed.

Minimum stay is 2 nights

Changeover day is Saturday ideally, but this is open to negotiation.

Bed linen and towels changed weekly.

Beach towels are not provided.

The Algarve is a Paradise, boasting some of Europes most beautiful beaches.

The apartment is only a 5 min walk from the fabulous beach of Praia da Rocha.. Its warm waters, white sand and blue sea are just amazing. It is a long, sandy stretch of beach, with a lovely boardwalk that makes the restaurants very accessible. There are smaller beaches at the western end that are flanked by cliffs and interesting rock formations and are very popular with families. These ochre coloured cliffs are unique to the Algarve.

The beaches of Vau and Alvor are only a short distance away also.

All of the beaches have lifeguards, sun beds / umbrellas and restaurants in high season

Close by, you will find beach volleyball, boating and canoeing, wind surfing, water skiing, scuba diving, big game fishing, water parks, air balloon trips, Jeep Safari, several golf courses, tennis, a museum and several historic sites.

If you are driving, the beautiful Monchique mountains are only a 30 min drive away. Hundreds of kilometres of walks have been created here linking natural forests, botanical gardens, and sites of historic interest.

The rugged Cape St Vincent, the most south westerly point of Europe is about 70 minute drive.

Alternatively, you might choose one of the many boat trips available to view the beautiful Algarvian coastline.

The Algarve is a melting pot of various cultures, and the Arab influence is very evident in the architecture. Note the white wash on the walls, eaves and chimneys. The Algarvian chimneys are particularily interesting. A chimneys worth was measured by the time it took to build it ! For this reason Algarvian chimneys take on a variety of shapes from simple grooves to complicated lacework and miniature clock towers.

There are lots of daily excursions to choose from. You might like to visit Silves, a town full of history, with its Moorish castle, Roman bridge and Gothic Cathedral, or the International Festival of Sculpture in Sand-Fiesa. For those who like to go further afield, there are trips to Gibralter, Seville ,Lisbon and Fatima to name but a few.

The Slide and Splash Waterpark is guaranteed to entertain, and is good value for a family day out. Zoomarine is also popular with families.

Taxis are cheap. Portimao and Alvor are only a short drive away. Portimao has a variety of interesting shops while Alvor is a thriving tourist town with lots of good restaurants, many of them specialising in fish. Restaurants by the harbour in Alvor buy their supplies as the boats arrive in with their daily catch. Cooking is simple, with many of the restaurants barbequeing the fish outdoors.

Families with children are made very welcome in restaurants in the Algarve. We would be happy to recommend a variety of good restaurants that we have discovered over the years if you so wish. We would also be delighted to hear from you if you discover any gems that have escaped us !

Praia da Rocha and Alvor are hives of activity in the evenings. Its interesting to stroll past the colourful street sellers and shops. The restaurants, ice cream shops, bars and discos are a great meeting ground for those who want to have fun !!!

Very spacious apartment in a great location close to the beach

We stayed at Martina's apartment in June for a week. We found the apartment very spacious and well equipped. We were a family of 6 (2 adults, 2 x 16 yr olds, 5yrs, and 20 months). It was great to have so much space, especially the lovely big terrace. Martina was very prompt with replying to messages and provided lots of advice. The caretaker Julie was very pleasant and met us at the apartment at midnight (as we had a late flight). It was also good to know there was someone on hand in the resort should we need anyone.

The only negative comments would be that there was no air conditioning - plenty of fans provided but air con would have been preferred. Also, the apartment pool is very small; however, Julie mentioned that we could use the pool in the neighbouring block, which we did, which was perfect (main/toddler pool, plenty of loungers, snack bar next door).

The airport transfer company recommended by Martina were also great.

Overall, a fantastic family holiday.

Perfect location, perfect apartment

Lovely apartment, very spacious fitted with lots of extras. Very quiet at night so we slept really well.

Lovely and clean. Nothing was too much trouble.

The best thing was the huge roof terrace. The only thing I think would improve it is a larger pool or a small roof top dip pool or hot tub..We would consider returning... We love Portugal xxx

Lovely Apartment

I have to say this apartment really is a home away from home you couldnt ask for better. When we arrived the apartment was spotless and so spacious with 3 big bedrooms there isnt any aircon but plenty of fans that help keep you cool. The balcony terrace is huge with 4 sun loungers. its so close to the strip and beach but yet far enough away so the noise at night wont bother you. I would highly recommend this apartment and Martina (the owner) was lovely to deal with and the little extra touches on your arrival really goes above and beyond as I have a boy and a girl and the beds were made up with blue sheets and pink sheets also it was my little girls birthday while we were away and when we arrived some balloons, candles and pink table cloth were left for us which was a lovely gesture.

FANTASIC APARTMENT ( HOME FROM HOME)

From my very first enquiry to Martina (the apartment owner), she answered promptly and made such an effort from answering my queries. Her attention to detail is reflected in the high quality of the apartment itself which is really lovely. It is fully equipped with , microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dvd player, tv, satellite box and everything is in pristine condition.

The complex is intimate with only 3 floors and it felt very safe, The apartment itself really was a home from home, with everything you could possibly want, living room and the 3 bedrooms were of a great size with very comfortable beds and then our favourite part of the apartment was the massive roof top sun terrace with 4 sun loungers and table and chairs which had sunshine all day!

The local supermarket is well stocked with essentials,and two minutes’ walk away, It is worth travelling to the larger shopping centre i.e. Lidl or Continente.

We did not need to hire a car as the apartment is only 5 – 10 mins to the strip and beach. We used Algarve 365 transfers for our airport trip which Martina kindly recommended and they were great - prompt and courteous.

We enjoyed a trip to Zoo marine, visited local shops and Martina had recommended some lovely restaurants in her book which she leaves in the apartment with all useful information that you might need on your stay.

I would highly recommend Martina’s apartment in Praia Da Rocha for a relaxing holiday, yet it is close to all facilities that anyone young or older requires on holiday. Thanks to Martina for all her help and for our stay in her beautiful apartment.

EXCELLENT LARGE APARTMENT

We are a family of 5 and i booked this apartment for a week in May. I have never booked a private rental before and had no idea of what to expect but i had nothing to worry about . Martina gave us step by step instructions and made everything simple and straight forward even down to recommending a British taxi firm who was waiting for us when we arrived at the airport and knew exactly where to take us to collect the keys .

The apartment is situated close to the strip of bars and restaurants and the amazing beach is about 10 minutes walk

When we arrived we found the apartment to be very clean, spacious with a well equipped kitchen which includes a dish washer and washing machine . There is no oven but who needs an oven when you have a bbq on the balcony . The balcony is an excellent size with sunbeds, patio chairs and a bbq , and if you decide to have an evening in board games and DVD`s are on hand.

We had an excellent week and the service we had from Martina is faultless . We are one family who will definitely be looking to book this apartment in the future and would recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious apartment close to bars and restaurants.

We also would recommend Tony`s bar for a brilliant night ( very small but the atmosphere makes up for it )

Wonderful

The apartment was wonderful. We went to the Algarve knowing nothing about the area and soon realized we landed on our feet. The apartment was very spacious for all 5 of us to lounge, play cards be together and get away from each other. It was bang in the middle of everything and everywhere and yet quiet. The lack of a coffee machine was even a good thing as my husband and I treated ourselves to morning strolls to get our "fix". Anyone would be lucky to stay there.
