Leopold Place is a large (100 m2), quiet, city centre basement flat with small private garden to the rear. The front of the property faces south making the living/dining room bright and airy whilst the bedrooms are situated to the rear. There is a private front courtyard ensuring privacy from the road above.

The kitchen adjoins the living area and is equipped with Siemens appliances throughout including oven, electric hob, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Other kitchen appliances include microwave, cafetiere, kettle and toaster.

The dining area of the living room seats 4 but with the option of extending the table to seat 6. HD digital TV is at your disposal.

There is a king-size bed (150cm) in the master bedroom with a double bed (135cm) in the second bedroom. A large sofabed in the master bedroom gives the option of sleeping up to 2 further people.

There is gas central heating throughout and on-demand hot water

The central location of Leopold Place means that everything is close by with the majority of Edinburgh's attractions within walking distance. Many of the venues for the Edinburgh International Festival are also within a short walking distance and the Playhouse Theatre is situated just 2 mins walk from the apartment. John Lewis department store and the Omni entertainment centre are also less than 5 mins walk away.

Valvona & Crolla, arguably Edinburgh's best delicatessen, is literally around the corner.

Great Location, clean, spacious, easy access to the city

My sister and I rented Mark's flat for 4 nights, which turned out to be way too short - we enjoyed ourselves so much! The location is great with access to the light rail, buses and easy walking to most tourist spots.

We're both in our 60's so access is a bit of a concern. This flat is very accessible. Mark provided excellent directions for getting to the flat via the rail, taxi, etc. He provided great instructions for everything. He's very prompt responding to emails and checking in with you to make sure everything is going well.

We were very pleased to discover how centrally located the flat is. It's in a fairly busy area, but once in the flat you don't hear any street noise. The plus of being in the busy spot is very easy access to good restaurants (Cafe Marlayne and Shezan Indian Cuisine were the 2 we tried out) and a small grocery store.

All in all, this was a great flat and Mark is an excellent host!

Super apartment

My husband, friend and I spent 4 days in lovely Edinburgh and this apartment was perfect for us. The apartment is well stocked, clean, classy and comfortable. It's also quite roomy so one never felt cramped. It's definitely a great choice.

Beautiful clean spacious and centrally located. Loved it!

We rented Mark's apartment for 6 days with 5 guests for our wedding ceremony at Holyrood Park. The location is great with a bus stop just across the street and not far from the train.

The cute little courtyard area outside the apartment will be forever remembered in our wedding portraits we had taken before the ceremony.

Several great restaurants near by and very close to Calton Hill, St. Anthony's Chapel ruins, and historic old town.

We cooked dinner in the house several times To save a few pounds. Mark's instructions were very detailed and we never needed to contact him for anything.

Communication was great as well. Highly recommend!

Stellar experience

We had an easy self-check in and were delighted with the airy and light living area offering views of the front plantings and bustling crowds. Yet the noise of the street did not carry into the rear bedrooms which offered a haven after a day of walking the neighborhoods of Edinburgh. Kitchen was equipped well enough for me to make stir fries and roasts and coffee making was easy. Tesco market is just a few blocks away and offers all you need for most meals.

We walked everywhere with ease from the port of Leith to the Royal Mile except for one day when we were walked out and jumped on a bus (exact change needed) that dropped us a few steps from our door. Took the tram from the airport, a delightful experience with good sightseeing, and stops a short walk from the flat.

Amazingly Quiet Property close to everything

Mark was a pleasure to work with and meeting him at the beginning of our stay was a bonus. The property is located within walking distance to everything on the Royal Mile and Arthur's Seat. Even on a fairly busy city street, it was completely quiet inside! The property is well appointed too - my entire family agreed that we wished we had taken one less day in London and spent an extra day here!

Edinburgh's architecture is also world renowned, especially the Georgian buildings and gardens of the New Town. Above all, however, Edinburgh is perhaps best known for the Edinburgh International Festival which takes place every summer.

Edinburgh is also perfectly placed for visiting the beaches of East Lothian, the beautiful Scottish Borders and as a stepping stone for the Highlands & Islands. Glasgow is also just an hour away by train.
