Dune Lodge is a newly built, eco friendly, 'log cabin style' Holiday Lodge, situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with its own enclosed lawned garden just behind the sand dunes of beautiful Croyde bay in North Devon.
It has a lovely south westerly facing sun deck with majestic views of the dunes and the setting sun.
The accommodation is comprised of three bedrooms, two twin rooms and one double room with en-suite shower and W.C.
The double room also has its own flat screen television and VCR with selection of various movies, (in case the kids take over the TV in the lounge!) all the rooms have their own built in wardrobe space with full length mirrors.
In addition to the en-suite Shower/W.C the Lodge also has a family bathroom with shower and heated towel rail.
The centre piece of the Lodge is the well proportioned, open plan lounge and living area with its french doors which lead out onto the sun-deck and garden outside. It has a remote controlled ceiling fan to keep you nice and cool on those scorching summer days and a stylish wall mounted electric fire in case of chilly summer nights. It also has a large, wall mounted, flat screen TV with DVD player and hundreds of satellite channels to keep everyone amused once the sun has gone down. There is an extendable dinner table and six chairs for meal times (unless you'd rather eat 'al fresco' out on the sun deck!) and a fantastically well equipped Electrolux AEG kitchen with integrated fridge freezer, ceramic hob, oven, grill, washing machine and dishwasher, as well as the standard - kettle, microwave oven and toaster!
Another bonus of this fantastic property is the storage space afforded beneath the lodge, enough room for surfboards, bikes, barbecue and charcoal as well all your beach-gear, and to top it all off it has a heated outside shower so you can rinse off all the sand and salt you may have accumulated during the day!
Dune Lodge is newly built and has been constructed to very high specifications with excellent levels of insulation and double glazing that insure you will remain pleasantly cool in the summertime and cosily warm in the winter months.
Each room also has its own electric heater with adjustable levels of heat output (no storage heaters here!)
It's just a 3 minute walk through the dunes to the beach and a 5 minute walk in the other direction into the village with all the pubs, shops and restaurants!
Dune Lodge is non smoking throughout .
The Lodge is also wheelchair friendly with its ramped access to the front door.

Fully equipped with everything a family might need for a great holiday.

Our family enjoyed a fab short break at Dune Lodge during the Easter school holidays this year, the lodge is perfect for a family stay, very clean, modern and well designed with all mod-cons - I really liked the vaulted ceilings - gave a very spacious feel!
Close to both the beach and the village (just 2 minutes in either direction) we did some surfing although the water was really cold! We found the hot outdoor shower to be a great feature!
After returning to Croyde once more we found this fantastic lodge. Clean and well kept with ample space to either be together as a family, or have you own space. Children loved the space (12&11), and a safe area for our 2 year old. Outside shower perfect on returning from the beach. All the necessary equipment to make it home from home. Nick the owner curtious and prompt with reply's to questions. Have recommended and would recommend to friends and family.
Many thanks the Lumberts
Dune Lodge is a great place to stay in Croyde - 5 minutes walk from the beach and 5 minutes from the local pubs. It was light and airy, very clean, well maintained and Nick the owner was really polite and prompt in replying to communication. It has everything you need including a dishwasher and washing machine and lots of homely touches which you just don't get in other holiday rentals. Lovely decking area and secure garden with parking. We were delighted and would highly recommend it, we even arranged to stay on an extra day because we had such a great time!
A five minute stroll from the Lodge along the footpath through the sand dunes brings you to the beautiful golden sands of Croyde Beach with its many rockpools and the stunning sight of Baggy Point jutting out into the sea with Lundy Island in the distance
Five minutes walk in the opposite direction brings you to the picturesque village of Croyde with its selection of family friendly restaurants and thatched pubs all serving a great selection of food and drink. Another firm favourite is Croyde Ice Cream Parlour which is famous for its delicious local ice cream which is served (upon request) covered in thick Devonshire clotted cream!
Croyde and the North Devon coastline boast some of the best surfing in the UK - whether you are a seasoned pro or a nervous beginner this famous stretch of coast offers something for everyone! Croyde has numerous surf hire shops and tuition is available for beginners at the surf schools on the beach. Lifeguards patrol the beach all through the high season keeping a watchful eye over all those who use the water.
A brief car journey in one direction leads to the absolutely stunning 3 mile stretch of Saunton Sands beach with vast sand dunes full of wild flowers and the renowned international standard golf links courses of Saunton golf club and, in the other direction, the breath-takingly beautiful Putsborough and Woolacombe beaches, all with the coveted Blue Flag Award, sand dunes and tremendous surfing.
A great centre for walking, cycling, horse riding and wildlife with beautiful Exmoor on your doorstep with its herds of wild red deer, Exmoor ponies and rivers teeming with fish. For those looking to go a little further a-field there are many other family attractions in the pretty market towns of Barnstaple, Braunton, Lynton & Lynmouth, Bideford and South Molton.
