The apartment has about 60 m2 and is located in the center of Sintra, within walking distance of the main monuments and museums, train station and other transport, banks, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, fruit shops, laundries, etc. Despite being very central, it is situated in a quiet residential street, in a green area. It is furnished and equipped with furniture, crockery and carpets of superior quality. It overlooks the historic area of Vila and Moorish Castle.

What makes this Apartment unique
Some advices and warnings: - There are no conditions in this house specially designed for children. However, special equipment may be installed, such as a security lock on the stairs, crib or bed of crates, under budget and prior approval. - The front door should always be closed, and locked at night. - Do not connect more than 3 heaters simultaneously, or keep them switched on for more than 3 hours. The electrical panel is located next to the front door. If this triggers as a safety measure, simply disconnect the electrical device that caused the overload and reconnect the panel. - The water heating has a limited capacity, I recomend not to concentrate many baths at the same time. If the water does not come out hot enough, wait until it reheats, which takes about 30/40 minutes. "Do not make noise, especially at night. The floor is wood without sound insulation, all the noise is felt on the lower floor. Note: Foreign guests will have to provide identification at check-in (according to current legislation check-in and check-out of foreign guests will have to be communicated to SEF - Foreign and Borders Service - through its own system) . Check: Convention on the Application of the Schengen Agreement and the Aliens Act (Article 15) Before Check Out: - The kitchen should be clean and tidy, including the dishes. - All lights, heaters or fans must be switched off - The locks are old, it is difficult and expensive to replace lost keys, I appreciate special attention in this aspect. Failure to deliver keys can mean the total loss of security fee. - From 9pm onwards avoid making noise as much as possible Late check in (>10pm) will have a extra cost of 30€ - A fee of € 60 will be charged for cleaning and maintenance of the apartment. For long stays, this value will be adjusted to the dwell time.

Perfect location, charming apartment, lovely hostess!!
The apartment in Sintra was my absolute favorite place to stay in Portugal. The minute I walked in, it felt like home. The beautiful antique family furnishings, the artwork and the windows that overlooked the tree lined park, valley and forest gave this charming apartment a sense of being in magical place. At night you could see the palace and castle lights on the mountain. Ana was a delight. She had a small booklet made up with information about the palaces and castles in the area. It had contact information, restaurant suggestions and other helpful tips. She also provided maps of the local area. In the kitchen she stocked the refrigerator with milk, yogurt, bottle water, juice. There were croissants, cereal, jam and honey. The apartment is in walking distance to the museums, train station, the National Palace, shops, cafes and restaurants. There are several transportation options to get to the castles, palaces and go to the ocean. I suggest a tuk tuk. It was a fun experience. Ana was gracious enough to allow me to keep my luggage at the apartment after the checkout time so I had another opportunity to wander the town before catching my train in the afternoon. Many thanks to you Ana for your hospitality. It was a pleasure to meet you and I hope that one day I can return to your lovely town.
Dear Peggy, thank you very much for your kind words. It was really a pleasure and na honnor to have you home, you are the guest every host wishes to gain: nice, polite, quiet, clean and respectful. Hope you will come back some day, just consider this house as yours!
Charming convenient apt in an enchanting medieval town
Even though our stay was short, we loved the antique charm and the convenience of the apartment. Simple kitchen set up, gorgeous antique furnishings, very firm comfortable queen bed and a lovely vintage divan. Clean, modern bath with bidet and rain shower. Loved the high ceilings and French windows that look out to a tree lined street and a view to the castles and toward the coast. During the day the street could get busy with traffic however.
Parking the rental car was easily sorted with free parking in front of the apartment at night and in a nearby lot during the day. Ana was very helpful with all of this.
She also advised on key sights in Sintra. We had a lovely day exploring the mystical grounds at the Quinta da Regaleira and lunch at The Metamorphisis. The Taberna Criativo was closed unexpectedly the one day we could go, unfortunately. Instead, we drove to the Praia da Adraga at sunset and ate at the cafe there. What a fresh, delicious meal and a really fun adventure!
Our second day, we drove up to the Palacio da Pena and walked all around and over to the Castelo dos Mouras. Sintra is a truly enchanting place, but be prepared for lots of others enjoying the same gorgeous sights. Patience is required. Enjoy!
Dear Diane and Robert, it was a real pleasure to have in my house such nice and civilized guests as you are. Hope you have a very good time the rest of your hollidays in Portugal. Maybe you will come back some day in the future for a longer stay, so you can explore better Sintra, this beautiful and mysterious place.
Thank you for your nice words.
Excellent place to stay in Sintra. Great location and charming apartment.
Wonderful apartment, great view and location. Cooking facilities good for breakfast and lunch but not appropriate for more involved meals. But NO PROBLEM because of very good nearby restaurants and friendly cafe on the ground floor of the building. Welcoming and helpful host.
Thank you, Lynn. It was a pleasure.
Centenial home in Sintra
Ideally placed between the Newer and Historical Sintra this house is furnished traditionally. Everything needed is there as advertised and this would be ideal for those who arrive by train or car; I found no difficulty in parking (free)in the street outside and the train station is a short walk away where you can catch the historical circuit bus for your visit. The rail makes it very convenient for a trip to Lisbon as well, and the tram to the coast is also only a short walk away and recommended. We were well looked after during our stay and would recommend this for couples. There are stairs so bear that in mind but there is a good view of the old town to compensate. Thank you Ana.
Thank you Christina and Michael, you were perfect and very nice guests. I recomend you to any host.
The best !!!!
Wonderful house and wonderful host! Sintra is magic and Ana´s house is in the best location to really know Sintra because you can walk everywhere,. Her tips were fundamental to make the best out of the time I had. The house is very cosy, confortable, elegant and personally decorated (no ikeas here!) and the view is stunning. I will definitely be back! Best wishes, Diogo.
Thank you for these nice words, Diogo. You were the best guest a host can wish, I hope you do come back someday.
