Set in the pretty village of Branxton, this enchanting cottage is the epitome of a romantic, rural retreat, complete with white picket fence, pretty cottage garden, cosy sitting room with open fire and a charming summer house.
The cottage exudes character, with a predominance of warm, earthy tones, plaids and tweeds in the sitting room and fresh, cottage-style florals in the bedroom.
The dining room is reminiscent of a scaled-down version of what you might find in a country house with ‘book-lined' walls, elegant lighting and attractive, panelled doors.
The pretty, sheltered, south-facing garden is nicely private, and the summerhouse is ideal for those lovely balmy evenings with a glass of wine or for simply hiding away with a good book.
To the rear of the garden is a secluded patio area with table and chairs and a barbecue. There is an additional garden area to the front of the house which is a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the Cheviot Hills.
Head over the doorstep, and a short wander will take you down to Flodden Field, site of the infamous battle of 1513 between the Scots and the English.
The fully equipped kitchen is decorated in traditional Shaker style and is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, double oven with 4 ring hob, microwave and fridge/freezer.
The charming sitting room has a double sofa, two armchairs and a wood burning stove with logs supplied. There is a TV with Freeview and integrated DVD player, CD/digital radio, Bluetooth docking station and a selection of DVDs, CDs, books and magazines.
Dining room with book lined wall seating 4.
Bedroom with 5' king size bed, built-in wardrobes and dressing table.
Bathroom with bath with electric shower over, WC and basin.
To the rear of the property is a delightful, sheltered, south facing garden with superb, uninterrupted views across Flodden Field to the hills beyond. At the end of the garden is a patio area with table, chairs, barbecue and charming summerhouse with patio doors, table and chairs.
There is a drying room to the rear of the property which also houses the tumble dryer.
