About Liz Downs

Moved to North Wales in 2006 to enjoy rural life and all that Snowdonia has to offer. Live just 35 minutes from the cabin so always nearby to sort out any problems.

Why Liz Downs chose Blaenau Ffestiniog

The site is so peaceful and such a great place to unwind. Our cabin is situated in a large private garden surrounded by a high conifer hedge. The cabin itself is home from home with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

What makes this cabin unique

The patio has stunning, uninterrupted views of the mountains and there is no better place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the Rhinogs. Right by the children's play area so great if you have children as you can keep a close eye on them.

We loved it

  • 5 of 5

A really warm and cosy short break. Nothing negative to say at all other than they could do with a butter knife in the cutlery draw. The owner was very friendly. Perfect for a snowy getaway.

Property was neat and tidy. Had everything we needed.

  • 4 of 5

Lovely property, that had everything we needed and was presented well. All appliances worked and it was well equipped. It wasn't 100% spotless but suited us well. Brilliant location with an area to walk the dog. It was a cosy cabin and nice and warm.

Amazing experiences ! Lovely cottage & beautiful views !

  • 5 of 5

We received all the necessary information before and during our stay. All inquiries were answered promptly, politely and helpfully. We were well informed about everything. The cosy cottage where we stayed over the weekend is located in very nice environment. We managed to explore the local countryside especially our children enjoyed mountain climbing a lot. It was an excellent opportunity for us to escape from a city London to countryside for a weekend. I would certainly recommend this accommodation to anyone who likes countryside . Lovely cottage & beautiful views !!
