First floor studio, sleeps two. Light and airy. Beautiful countryside.

Set within our grounds, with its own enclosed garden area and a private entrance, this first floor studio apartment has beautiful views towards Hayfield and across the surrounding countryside. The gate at the rear of our property opens onto a lane leading up into the hills - walkers’ heaven is right on our doorstep!

The studio has one double bed, a sofa, flat screen TV with DVD and FreeView, and a radio and CD player; there’s also a breakfast bar with stools, a gas oven and hob, a fridge with an icebox, and a toaster, kettle and microwave. In the adjoining bathroom, there’s a shower, washbasin and WC. All heating, bed linen and towels are included.

Parking is available and we even have the facility to charge your electric car if you have chosen this eco-friendly mode of transport...

As we have a friendly dog ourselves, we welcome guests with one well behaved dog. We have nine acres of land where your dog can run freely (as long as he/she will come back to you!)

Our luxury camping barn (sleeping up to 6 people) is now available for families or groups - please take a look! Both properties can be hired together for family reunions etc; please contact us to discuss.

About Linda and Keith Scowcroft

Chinley Moor House has been part of our family for a long time. Linda was born and grew up here, and we bought the house from Linda's parents after the birth of our first son, to bring up our own family in. Our two sons are now grown up and, since our retirement, we've turned our attention to making our home pay its way! We live here with our dog, Danny, and enjoy regular visits from our young grandson.

Linda and Keith Scowcroft purchased this apartment in 1950

Schönes Apartment in perfekter Lage zum Wandern

Die Ferienwohnung ist in sehr gutem Zustand und die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich. Die Lage ist zum wandern Ideal. Von der Haustüre lässt sich das Kinder-Plateau erkunden. Andere Startpunkte sind schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen.

Beautiful. The Perfect Getaway

The apartment was beautiful. Very warm and spacious. My Partner and I both loved our stay. Both Linda and Keith were very lovely people and helped us with any questions we had. We felt at home, the views were amazing.

Absolutely beautiful

The studio certainly exceeded our expectations. Very well equipped. Linda and Keith have thought of everything and added that special touch which made this the perfect place to spend our xmas break. Lovely views and nice walks. Would definitely recommend

Very inviting and comfortable

This was our first holiday in the peak district and we loved it. Everything we needed was close by (or an easy drive away) and we loved the walks into the villiage. The pubs in the villiage was very welcoming espcially as we have a big(ish) dog. The accomodation itself is set in a lovely area with walks starting just outside the gate. It is well stocked and looked after and i think has everything (and more) that you need and the welcome pack helps you get started. We loved it so much we are already going back in december. The owners are very welcoming and friendly which adds to your stay.

A beautiful charming place to stay, Home from Home

On arrival your welcomed with warmth from the owner's, and that in itself is priceless, a lovely basket of items are left for you, which is a wonderfully added gesture of thoughtfulness', the place is situated within breath taking views and the walks and surrounding towns are great.
