About the property

Lovingly decorated and furnished, cosy 2 bedroom holiday home

Bridge Cottage has been renovated and restored to offer charming accommodation in the centre of town. The Cottage has been lovingly decorated and furnished to create a cosy holiday home, perfect for families or couples. All furnishings have been carefully chosen and put together to bring you a mix of vintage style and modern convenience.

On the ground floor, there is a spacious kitchen-diner with a stunning feature inglenook and rustic oak floorboards. An afternoon tea with cakes awaits you on arrival. Across the wooden panelled hallway is a cosy and comfortable sitting room. There are shutters at the window and a wood burning stove, complete with a supply of logs during the winter months, so you can enjoy cosy evenings in front of the fire.

Upstairs there are two good sized bedrooms, one twin and one double. Relax in the romantic master bedroom complete with antique French bed, painted furniture and vintage chandelier. The pretty twin bedroom has two iron beds and a lovely Victorian fireplace.

The traditional style family bathroom has a fixed rain head shower over the bath, rustic oak floorboards and heated towel rail.

We want each guest to enjoy Bridge Cottage from the moment they arrive. Every effort has been made to make your stay truly memorable. You are welcome to arrive at Bridge Cottage from 4pm and depart by 11am. We will do our very best to accommodate a later departure but due to the popularity of the cottage this isn't always possible.

Whilst there is no private parking at Bridge cottage, free parking is available in the streets around the cottage. Alternatively, there is a public pay and display car park a few minutes’ walk away. The cottage is located on a one way street, you can easily park and unload outside the cottage.

There is no garden, only a very small courtyard area (not linked to the house) at Bridge Cottage, but guests will find a large area of parkland and open space to enjoy a few minutes’ walk away.

Bradford on Avon is a thriving town full of history and is the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding countryside or nearby city of Bath. From the cottage, you can take a 2 minute level walk to nearby shops, cafés, restaurants and the train station. So why not enjoy an eco-friendly holiday and leave the car at home! With Bath only a 10 minute train ride away, Bradford on Avon is the ideal base to visit the historic city whether it be for the many museums, architecture, exclusive shopping, spa sessions, Christmas markets and/or Premiership rugby.

We have been to BOA for 6 years and we have always wanted to stay here but it was never available. It did not disappoint, such a lovely cottage - beautifully furnished and in a great location.

Will be back!

Lovely cottage in a great location

  • 4 of 5

Bridge Cottage was the perfect base for a lovely long weekend, and we found it comfortable, clean and very well-equipped. Parking just down the road was easy and it was nice to take the train to Bath for a day trip, with the station only minutes from the house. Although the railway is very close, there is little train noise; I found the traffic noise more of an issue but noticed this less after the first night. The town is lovely and the walk to Avoncliff along the canal is wonderful - the aqueduct is really worth seeing. We also visited Iford Manor, with its beautiful Italianate garden, only a short drive away. A great weekend and a super cottage.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the world

  • 5 of 5

Very nicely decorated, extremely comfortable and location is great. Very easy to go to bath for a day trip and close to all the restaurants in Bradford on Avon. Little touches like muffins and prosecco on arrival, made us feel very welcomed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you

You will find many fine examples of architecture from the Saxon, Medieval, Tudor, Georgian and Industrial Revolution periods. The Town Bridge retains two of the original 13th century arches as well as an 18th century ‘Blind House’ without windows which served as the town lock-up! Why not visit the Saxon church of St Laurence dating from the early 11th century or the stunning 14th century Tithe Barn, retaining its old threshing floor and other features from its agricultural past. It has been used as the setting for several TV dramas. The chapel of St Mary Tory is high up on Tory, on the north side of the town. It was largely built in Victorian times. Take a walk through The Shambles. It was the meat market in medieval times but is now a quaint pedestrian walkway lined with a range of small boutique shops.
