About Nate & Amanda Giles- Utah Mountain Vacations LLC
As our family has grown we love the idea of being able to travel and stay at a home that allows us the space and comforts of “home” while making memories with our family on vacation. We started property managing because we wanted other families to have the same opportunity when they visit the Southern Utah Mountains.
Nate & Amanda Giles- Utah Mountain Vacations LLC purchased this Barn in 2007
Why Nate & Amanda Giles- Utah Mountain Vacations LLC chose Duck Creek Village
We love the privacy of this property, truly away from it all but close enough to a gas station if you need something!

Thanks for great vacation!
Nothing was missing. I would choose again this cabin when visiting this area.
Very pleasant garage apartment with loads of space. Tucked away in a hilltop neighborhood nestled in the trees. Being from Texas it was wonderful to wake up to a blanket of snow. The location is perfect. We were minutes from Proctor Canyon and Red Rock Canyon and just over a half hour from Cedar Breaks, Bryce and Zion (east entry).
A wonderful experience
It is certainly a hide-a-way but once you have found it, the experience is second to none. It is surrounded by trees and peace and quiet and has everything you would need for a short stay. The accommodation is above the large garage and is perfect for two people. All furnishings are of the highest quality with a most comfortable bed. The kitchen is well equipped so that it is possible to self cater which is helpful, so far from any restaurants. A large washing machine and tumble dryer are useful additions. The location is ideal as it is equidistant from two major attractions: Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon with other interesting places like Duck Creek and Red Canyon to visit.
The advice to stock-up in Cedar City en route was invaluable as local shops are few and far between and have few provisions. We found the best places to shop for perishables were the garages which also provided welcome teas and coffees.
We had a wonderful experience and would recommend it to anyone who likes to be away from everything, surrounded by trees and wild life in first class accommodation.
Very comfortable, clean with everything we needed
Warm and inviting place. Great location for Brice, and Zion, shopping about 1/2 hour away, large shower, comfortable master bed.
BEWARE of the sleeper sofa. It has an inflatable mattress that leaks. Also the pump was not the right one for this mattress. 1 or 2 adults are too much for this sleeper sofa. We did leave a new inflatable mattress, with a pump and batteries on site.
The furnace was quieter than most. The washer and dryer were regular size. The kitchen was pretty well set up, but we could have used some better frying pans.
This house needs a real address marker out front. Also, there is a very soft spot in the road about 1/4 mile from the house. If it is even a little bit wet, you will sink in a little. If you have low ground clearance, you could easily get stuck.
Peaceful secluded apartment style cabin
This is a well appointed quality built cabin with all of the amenities of home. The cabin is located in the secluded area of Elk Ridge Estates, where wildlife is abundant. I would recommend this to any anyone looking for 1 bedroom quite, peaceful getaway. Nate was amazing at getting us in and situated. He immediately answered our calls and answered all of our question.
We are a great base located in the middle of Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. With Lake Powell and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon within a day-trip distance, there is no shortage of natural pursuits as well as entertaining activities: Ride ATVs or snowmobiles on the 500+ miles of marked trails nearby, fish in the many area lakes, take a relaxing horseback trail ride, hike, bike, climb, take a back-country 'safari' tour, explore the canyons of Lake Powell by boat, take a guided educational class at Zion, visit and volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, attend the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, visit the interesting little shops in Duck Creek Village and Kanab, or just take some 'downtime' at home.
