About the property

The Granary, our first floor apartment, which is curtelage listed, sleeps 2. and is one of our three properties, the others are : The Barn which is 17th century grade II listed and sleeps 6,and the Farmhouse 17th century grade II listed, also sleeps 6,

ALL CAN BE RENTED TOGETHER OR SEPARATELY AS REQUIRED, the Barn and Farmhouse are ideal for big parties with an interconnecting door that we can arrange to be unlocked for you.

They are located centrally in the village, down a small quiet lane just 5 minutes walk to the pubs and eateries and 10 minutes walk to the beach.

The Granary is a first floor apartment presented to a very high standard (sleeps 2) now with Wi_fi installed and has a balcony overlooking the hills. We have just opened up our meadow for your use and there is also a new barbecue and dining area.

The kitchen area includes: cooker, granite work tops, refrigerators with freezer box, microwave. All kitchen utensils that a good cook would require. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in the utility area

The comfortable beamed living area includes, leather sofa, two chairs,solid oak flooring, central heating, flat screen TV, DVD player and bookcase full of books are all supplied. Unfortunately WiFi in the Granary is not available but you can use the personal hotspot on your smart phone.

Balcony with table and chairs for two with lovely views across the Devon hills.

The bedroom with double bed and plenty of drawer and wardrobe space (hangers supplied) has lovely views. Shower room with powerful shower. All bed linen, bath and hand towels supplied.

Private secluded courtyard parking for your car.

Our local housekeeper provides 24 hour emergency cover.

On your arrival you will find your Welcome Pack including wine, tea, coffee, biscuits and milk,

For the kitchen we supply dishwasher and laundry tablets, linen tea-towels and hand towel.

Please bring your own beach towels (not supplied with the cottage).

We are always delighted to welcome overseas visitors to our properties and over the last 4 years we have had the pleasure of guests from USA, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Shanghai, Switzerland, Belgium, Singapore and Denmark. So if you are thinking of spending some time in Devon why not come and stay at one of our properties in Croyde.

Amazing property so much better than expected. Ideal location, moments from the center of croyde village. The apartment was very well maintained and there was a welcome pack waiting for us as well.

Super short-break at The Granary

What a beautiful place to stay! Everything was just as we hoped it would be - plenty of room to sit and relax and all finished to a high spec.

Really thoughtful welcome pack made it easy to relax from the moment we opened the door.

The village was very pretty and there were several pubs and restaurants to visit.

The beach is only a 5-10 minute walk away and there are a number of other excellent beaches within a 15 minute car drive. With other stunning villages nearby, we found Croyde to be the ideal base to explore - and The Granary an excellent place to stay.

Beautiul cottage in a beautiful location

I have been to Croyde on many occasions and have stayed in a caravan, apartment and a couple of bungalows, but this is by far the best of the lot. The cottage is charming, beautiful, spotless and very spacious. Somehow it manages to keep it's olde worlde charm, but with a modern twist, like the dishwasher and power showers. It is tucked away up a little lane. but is within a a few yards of the shops and there are three great pubs within walking distance. The fabulous beach is just a pleasant 15 minute walk away, along a country lane.

My daughter forgot her towels, so I rang a number provided, to order a couple of towel bales at £3 each and they arrived later that day.

I would recommend the food, value for money and staff friendliness at The Manor, especially the mixed grill and the chocolate and peanut stack. For the best fish and chips, go to Squires in Braunton. The sea views in Saunton Sands and Croyde are breathtaking, but blow your mind a bit more and do the Baggy Point walk. If you like the SaltRock surfy clothing range in the village, it's worth going to the factory shop in Braunton as they have a bigger selection of sizes and stock.

I only have one thing that spoilt my stay in Croyde and that was having to go home!!!

Great Little Place

We stayed in The granary for a short break and had a fantastic time. The apartment has been refurbished to a high standard and it is well laid out and equipped. Only thing to note is that in the livingroom description on the website it says there is a fireplace and there is no fire/fireplace, but there is good central heating. We met the owners on the weekend we were there and they were lovely and friendly. We liked it so much we have booked again for September 2010.

The properties are idyllically situated right in the heart of the picturesque Devon coastal village of Croyde, which has history that stretches over a thousand years to pre-saxon times, in a small turning off St Mary's Road. Only 5 minutes walk to local amenities such as the shops, pubs, restaurants, surf shops, etc. Approx 10 minutes level walk to the beach.

Croyde in North Devon provides a wonderful holiday location in a beautiful setting bordered by National Trust land on one side and the UNESCO Braunton Burrows biosphere on the other.

There are three other fantastic sandy beaches to choose from ideally suited for surfing, sunbathing, kite flying and beachcombing etc, they are Saunton Sands, Putsborough and Woolacombe Bay.

The National Trust coastline and the Tarka Trail are perfect for walkers and places to visit from there include Lee Bay, which is ideal for sunbathing, rock climbing and shrimping and a pint in The Grampas, and Ilfracombe, which has a very nice working harbour and good restaurants and eateries.

Further afield are Barnstaple, 12 miles away, which is good for shopping and eating and Clovelly, which is a very old seaport, very quaint with donkeys being the only transport allowed through the village to the harbour - well worth a visit.

For falconry displays and sheepdog displays check local events.

Cycling is very popular in this area with lots of areas of interest to go to and the Tarka Trail is ideal for both walking and cycling.
