15 The Digey is a light, bright and very welcoming one-bedroom apartment in the heart of St Ives. The Digey is a cobbled lane leading to Porthmeor beach one way and the St Ives harbour in the other. The apartment provides a private and rather secluded corner to what is a normally a vibrant part of St Ives by day as it is set back from the main thoroughfare. As the beach life by day changes into lazy ambling along the shop-lined Fore Street, 15 The Digey is perfectly located to explore the town for eateries, gastro bars, galleries and shopping. St Ives’ beaches are all within a 10 minute walk from the apartment with Porthmeor being the closest at just 350m door to sand.
15 The Digey is accessed through a shared courtyard but has its own small corner where the owners have lovingly erected a bamboo screen behind which you can sit for a private tipple or morning coffee. Walk up some outside steps to the front door, then up again an internal flight of stairs to be greeted by a sense of welcome and happiness. The bedroom is light and comfortable with a double bed, TV and sea glimpses over ‘orange lichen’ rooftops. The kitchen has a gas hob, oven, dishwasher and washing machine, plenty of cooking utensils for home dining and a table that will romantically seat the two of you comfortably. There is a sofa bed that can sleep a third small person or child if needs be. The apartment is decorated and finished to offer warmth, comfort and to make you feel at home. Large windows look out on both sea glimpses; Porthmeor sea in one direction and St Ives harbour the other.
For evening or daytime entertainment, there is free WiFi, a Freeview TV, DVD player, Amazon Echo and docking station to plug in your devices to listen to your own music. The owners of 15 The Digey have an associate membership card to for two guests to get into The Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth galleries free, so please do use when you stay.
If you have a small, very well-behaved dog and would like to bring him or her on holiday with you then you are welcome to if you are able to bring their own crate and bedding as well as bowls, towels and chews.
