A beautiful 2 bedroom cottage in the centre of Chew Magna in the Chew Valley.
The cottage has 2 double bedrooms, a living room, a dining area, a kitchen and a bathroom. It has been decorated and furnished to a high standard with antiques and is a home from home with lovely countryside and wildlife on its doorstep.
The main bedroom has a large wardrobe and a chest of drawers, the second bedroom has a small double bed (soon to be two single beds) and a chest of drawers. The bathroom has a bath with an attached shower. The kitchen has a large fridge/ freezer, oven and hot plate, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
The dining area has a table for 4 and a TV area with DVD player and the whole cottage has wifi. The tv area has 3 armchairs and a dining chair can be used too but it is a squeeze if all 4 people wish to watch television. Hedgehog is in the beautiful countryside and has a lot of useful modern amenities such as wifi but it is not as fast as a city and can be occasionally intermittent.
The living room has 2 sofas and a fireplace with stove , logs can be provided for a small charge.
The cottage has a back door onto a garden which has its own secluded area for visitors but it is shared with the owner. The garden also has a trampoline and a sandpit for smaller visitors. A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request.
Behind the garden there is a field which has foxes and horses. The garden is often visited by badgers, woodpeckers, frogs, and hedgehogs.
There are many walks in the area and the cottage has many books and maps detailing these. The cottage also has a selection of dvds, books, and games.
Chew Magna is a beautiful English village with a Main Street and church along with 3 pubs serving food and also a Michelin starred pub the 'Pony and Trap'. The Main Street has a small supermarket, a post office, a butchers, a cafe (which sells fresh bread).
If you wish to venture further afield Chew Magna is a short 25 minute drive to Bristol, Bath and Wells. It is also a short drive to Devon and across to Wales.
