Travel directions were incorrect
Upon arriving at what we thought was our destination, according to the clear instructions given, we learnt after a few hours of key searching and telephone conversations that the details were, in fact, incorrect and that the owner would now update and correct the details given. Not only that but when I managed to speak to him about helping us with directions, he was very abrupt and treated me as if I was incapable of following simple instructions. I asked him to send me details of landmarks near to where we were staying. He said that he would send me details of some nearby riding stables. This was not done. Considering the cottage was in the middle of the moors, there was very little we could do as there was no-one for miles around. I felt the owner was quick enough to take our money but when it came to us getting to our destination he left us high and dry. We ended driving onto some private land and followed the directions of the lady that lived there. We had travelled from London to Cornwall for our anniversary for just a short break which ended up even shorter due to the wrong information being given. I don't ever leave reviews but found the owner to be extremely rude and unhelpful. Regarding the shower tray overflowing we were told if it had been mentioned earlier it would have been dealt with. This wasn't too much of a problem as we decided to have really quick showers before the shower tray overflowed. We just wanted to make you aware for future guests. So hopefully this will be rectified quickly. Furthermore, during our stay, the gardener arrived, which wasn't a problem but we found it quite intrusive to have him looking in on us, before knocking and asking if it was okay to cut the lawn. To be honest it startled me. It was morning and I was still in my nightwear. It would be an idea to put a blind up at the clear glassed door.
