Dating back to the 18th Century Pheasant Cottage is a charming period property nestled in the heart of rural Perthshire. With commanding views over the surrounding hills it is the perfect summer hideaway or cosy winter retreat.
Decorated in a traditional highland style, the muted colour palette of greens and greys mirror the far-reaching views of the magnificent landscape.
Inspired by the elements and natural surroundings, the cottage has been sympathetically refurbished by owners Jen & Rob who have brought it back to life and adopted an eclectic blend of Nordic contemporary style mixed with Scottish Higland charm. Furniture has been handpicked for comfort and style and the bespoke kitchen, cupboards and cabinets have been handmade by local Scottish craftsmen. Finished off with ambient lighting and accented with tactile soft furnishings Pheasant a Cottage is a luxurious bolt hole, a real home from home and a true gem of a property.
Situated within the pretty hamlet of Kincraigie, the cottage enjoys uninterrupted views of the surrounding highland scenery. The cottage has a wonderful private rear garden where visitors can relax and take in the peace and tranquillity that this property offers. Historic Dunkeld, with its cathedral and restored 17th-Century buildings and beautiful restaurants and coffee shops, is well worth the visit and is only 15 minutes down the road. The city of Perth is 30 minutes away, with excellent shops, restaurants, theatres and indoor sports facilities. The villages of Aberfeldy, Blair Atholl and Pitlochry are a short drive away, and provide access to castles, an art-deco cinema, outdoor theatre, art galleries and each Oct - Nov, an enchanted forest.
For those keen on outdoor activities there is a plethora of options right on your doorstep. Loacated less than 100 meters from the River Tay, the cottage is in close proximity to Dalguise Fishing, Beatrix Potters most favoured fishing spot. The Hermigate (National Trust) waterfalls are 10 minutes drive away, with various watersports activities available at Loch Tay and River Tay.
The cottage is comprised of three bedrooms and two bathrooms and can sleep up to six, and offers a log burning stove and smart TV and Wifi. The bespoke kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Belfast sink and an electric range cooker. The large oak dining table can seat up to eight. There is a boot room for wellingtons, fishing rods and coats, with a beautiful garden that offers views down the glen, and provides outdoor seating and a fire pit.
