Fabulous location and warm, friendly host

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 5 nights over the Easter weekend in this gorgeous little house next to the castle. The highlight was sipping prosecco on our balcony looking at this stunning view. The location is superb - we could watch the lake and the mountains all day! So convenient for popping out for a bit of sightseeing then back for a meal. Very comfortable beds - very well equipped kitchen etc. It was a bit chilly, but our host came round and put on the heaters for us, which solved the problem well. Thank you for being a lovely host and making our stay so enjoyable. We'd love to come back!!

We had a lovely holiday in the owners family home. It was very clean and in a beautiful location next to the castle with lovely views over Lake Garda. We saw several brides on their way to the castle! The ice cream shop next door is the best in town. Boat trip to Limone is worth it but very busy. We took a coach trip to the Dolomites which was fantastic, and the cable car up Monte Baldo is a must we saw 2 golden eagles and marmots and had a lovely walk round with spectacular views.

Barbara, the caretaker, was very friendly and helpful and let us leave our luggage in the house as we were not leaving until 1pm.

Would definitely recommend.

A special, ancient house right in the heart of mediaeval Malcesine

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time at the house; we were very pleased that we were provided with an extra bed so we could stay there with our three children. The house has a room on each floor; lower bedroom then lounge/kitchen then master bedroom and finally bathroom at the top. The children were downstairs in the lower bedroom which was cooler than the rest of the house (although the curtains were sheer fabric so it got light quite early - kids got used to it after 1 night so wasn't really an issue). The master bedroom was great with a big comfortable bed and lovely views over the houses to the lake. There is a small balcony off the lounge/kitchen where I'd sit with my tea/wine and there is a small courtyard off the lower bedroom with a table that we used for eating outside a couple of times. The kitchen is adequate for a small holiday house. Being next to the castle there were loads of people going past all day but it quietened down later in the evening. The artisan ice cream shop two doors down is superb!!! There is a small stony beach down a winding path below the house which we swam from a couple of times, very convenient. The best beach we found was about a half hour (slow) walk away along the lake shore through the town towards Val di Sogno (there is a car park there too). We did have a hire car and it was a real pain to park, cost us a lot in parking fees and we didn't need it whilst we stayed here. We had a brilliant time and would recommend this house for a fun holiday (the kids enjoyed spying out of the bathroom window at the wedding parties on the castle steps!). Great communication with the owners and from Barbara who met us at the house and was very accommodating when we were later than we had expected. Thank you!

Ideally situated right next to Scarier Castle.

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is wonderful, not ideal though for young children or elderly due to the stairs. I was there for my Sons wedding, and as it is right next to the Castle, i couldn't be better accommodated. The views are beautiful and breathtaking. The apartment and total holiday experience in Malcesine was beyond expectations.

Great apartment and location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment slept 4 very comfortably and is configured very well. Location is wonderful with stunning views. Having a small balcony off the sitting room and a terrace on the ground floor made it easy to enjoy the warm summer nights. We were there as parents of the groom for a wedding - location perfect and gave the wedding party somewhere to rest during photos. Barbara was extremely helpful.

Golf: At approximately 31 km from Malcesine is Costermano where you find the Golf Club Cà degli Ulivi.

Recently constructed, has 18 par 71 championship holes, projected by english Cotton Penninck and Partners was inaugurated in spring 1991.

The ground is slightly waving, the natural context astonishingly amazing full of olive trees and can be frequented all year through thanking the special favourable weather conditions.

The club house has all comforts and facilities for golf players such as squash, sauna, swimmingpool, business center and meeting hall.

The field has 15 covered sites and 10 uncovered so to allow the possibility to always peacefully exercise.

The players disposal is also a large putting green cleverly placed on the club house roof, from which a breathtaking view on the field, the hills and the lake is enjoyable.

Ski: The cable way Monte Baldo is divided in 2 segments, the first Malcesine-S.Michele (1512 m length and 463 m rise), the second S. Michele-Monte Baldo (2813 m length and 1187 m rise).

The most important news that makes unique the Lago di Garda Malcesine cable way is represented by the cabin of the second segment, which is rotating 360° so offering a marvellous vision and a surprising flying feeling.

On Monte Baldo are working several chairlifts among which: Prà Alpesina (1430-1830 m) ski lift La Colma, Pozza della Stella and Falco, the latest brings people to 2 ski runs one red and one black, guesting regularly F.I.S.I. competitions.

Further easier ski runs and school fields are available for families and the fun of mothers and children and for 'quiet' skiers.
