Very convenient to everything

On the plus side, it was an easy apartment to get to from the airport as well as downtown London. The tube was close by, and was only a quick few stops to all the attractions, while being at the northwesterly corner of Hyde Park, so a quick 5 minute walk to the Kensington Palace area. Notting Hill is also a very unique neighbourhood to experience, so one can walk the local streets and enjoy the scenery, shops and restaurants. It was roomy enough for two adults and two teenage girls, and had all the amenities a family of four would need. Modern dishwasher, stove and refrigerator in the kitchen area, as well as a lovely set table and a comfortable L-shaped sofa in front of the tv. It was quiet at night, so we slept well, although the beds are a little snug for two. Doubles versus queens or kings, but maybe that's a British thing- they like to snuggle versus having some room to stretch out at night.

On the negative side, although spacious enough, it was a rather odd layout. The entrance is on the main floor of a brownstone, but upon entering the apartment, that level was home to both the full and half bathrooms as well as one of the bedrooms. The main area of the kitchen, living/dining room and the second bedroom were a level below that was accessed by a wrought iron circular staircase. A little cumbersome to bring luggage down and up, and a little frustrating to have to climb up and down to visit the loo. There were also broken floor tiles in the half bathroom which should be easily fixed.

Price-wise we found it very affordable from a London perspective, and the surrounding neighbourhood was clean, safe and close to lovely pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and markets to buy groceries.

Priyan was easily accessible and we were able to enter the apartment as soon as we arrived by cab, which is nice when you have travelled for many hours and you aren't sure of what to expect at your destination. We also arrived in the morning, so earlier than the 4pm posted entry time. Priyan graciously allowed us to drop our bags off early, where we proceeded to do a little local sight-seeing until such time as we could enter the apartment.

I would recommend the apartment to travellers who are value-conscious, want some space in the their stay as I understand London hotels are not known for roominess, and don't mind that its not the Ritz. London is an expensive town, but I found that although there were a few blemishes, it was good value for the money.

Great convenient location

Loved the location and Priyan was a hands on host. He was always very quick to respond to my questions before arrival and was very on top of our arrival to ensure an easy checkin. The flat was as described and you couldn't ask to be any more conveniently located to a tube station. No matter where we went it was a hop skip and a jump away (very close). Check in and out was easy and lots of restaurants/ pubs/grocery stores very close by.

Lovely and spacious

My family of 4 stayed here recently for 3 nights. The apartment had great natural light, and was clean and spacious. It was also well stocked with plenty of high quality bedding and other necessities. The building is in a nice neighborhood on a quiet cul de sac, and near the metro and many restaurants, pubs and shops. It's a short walk to Kensington and Hyde Parks. The washer-drier combo and having 2 bathrooms in a London flat were also much appreciated! We would recommend.

Great location and we really enjoyed the flat!

The flat is very centrally located, in a quiet side street near Kensington Gardens,the Notting Hill Gate tube, and the Portabello Road market . The owners were very accommodating with the check in and the flat is spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful week at the flat.

Magda was there to meet us when we arrived. The flat was roomy and comfortable. At night it was very quiet and we slept soundly. All of the kitchen basics made it easy to have quick meals at home. So close to the tube station and felt very safe in the neighborhood. Would defiantely stay here again. Thanks!!!

Excellent stay in a well equipped and centrally located apartment

We came to London from Philippines and on our way to Scotland. So we needed a cozy place close to the city and everything. We were pleasantly surprised with a truly friendly host - Priyan who explained the house features and introduced nearby places. House is well equipped to serve needs of a family and its location is superb. We had a wonderful stay here and will highly recommend it to others especially those London goers who want to make the most of their stay. London is always a great place to visit and apartment like this and its host just make it really good.
